Re: Borderlands
Wait, I've played for 13 hours (Level 15), and you tell me there's a main story for the game?
I'm going to check Wikipedia but I don't remember any main story whatsoever.
And I may be playing the game the "wrong" way, I'm not an RPG gamer, I think I played Fallout "wrong", but I'm having a lot of fun with this game. I'm seeing a lot of things that they made different, compared to Fallout, that I'm really digging here.

Re: Borderlands
Oh and I've read about how level up faster. I'm just trying to enjoy the game right now, doing all the killings/missions myself.
OTOH, I'm sure it's a lot of fun playing a hard mission with another guy that's the same level as you. Like two level 20 guys playing a level 22 mission, or something like that.

i started a siren last night. i have spent 60 hours with my soldier and made it to level 50 and playthrough 2.5. i thought i might start to get bored with the game, but i am having a blast with my new siren. I have her up to level 13 in a couple of hours of game time. i can definitely blast through the quests quickly due to so much play time with my soldier.
how do i need to allocate points to my siren? i have only been putting points on the left so far.
i have also done all of this solo, i have yet to play online yet. i think i am ready to give it a shot, but i am worried about just running into modders all the time. i am looking for some good people to play with, none of my current friends play this game. add me -- i have a level 50 soldier and a level 13 siren currently.

There are modded items on the 360. My buddy got stuck with a shield he can't unequip. Every time he tries, it drops cash on the ground. The sad thing is cash has no value in the later part of the game because there are always plenty of items to sell.
I don't understand the desire to mod games in general, but even more confused in a cooperative game

Hey There
I just finished First Play thru with Siren and she is a blast but having anothe player like a Hunter helps. Later on her Phase Walking gets pretty serious but more impressive looking at her from another player.
To change your points around go to a "Fast Travel" station, hit X and you'll see all the places to go. Hit the "RB" bumper and you'll see 'Regestration' where you set your characters colors. use the thumb pad to arrow down at the bottom..."Change Skill Points"...asked to proceed and then all skills are blank with all your points in the bottom right corner.
I can't tell you how to se your skill point but here is what I had when I finished at Level 39 with her.
Controller
5/5 - Shield - A must to max out
5/5 - Health - Same, max it out
5/5 - Cooldown - Needs to max out later on in the game
1/5 - Girl Power
Elemental
5/5 - Spark
3/5 - Radiance
3/5 - Venom
5/5 - Resilience - This helps against Fire, Shock, Corrosive damage
3/5 - Phoenix - really cool. After killing an enemy you're basically on fire and anyone who touches you gets lit up. This one is blast at Zombieland.
PS - I may have a few weapons in my "bank" at Moxxies that may help ya.

i wouldn't mind getting a hellfire smg if you have one you are willing to part with. i used one with my soldier and it was a beast.
ps -- if i have a weapon in my bank with my soldier character...can i give a weapon from him to another player and then load my siren up and that player give it back to me?

Re: Borderlands
so far all the siren class mods i've found are +skills to the elemental branch. sucks cause i've been putting my points in controller so won't benefit from them.

How you do weapon swap from one character to another.
*Have a friend "host" a game at Moxxie's lobby (I like New Haven...six weapon crates close by)
*They'll send you a invite
*Bring in the character that you want to "drop/withdraw" weapon(s)
*Now take the weapon you want to to give say the Siren and just drop it (Y) button.
*Now exit the game.
*Host will have to send another invite
*Now come back in as your Siren
*The weapon(s) you dropped are still there and there you go.
I do have a "Hellfire" SMG but I'm still using it with my Hunter in second playthru. Both my Hunte and Siren have 'Banks' at Moxxies' but I can't remember what I have. If I run across something like a Hellfire I'll let you know. Right now my Hunter has four "ammo regeneration" guns. A Shotgun, SMG, Pistol and Combat Rifle

Borderlands Level Cap Raise Confirmed by Gearbox
About an hour ago, a Gearbox designer popped into the studio's official forums to confirm that Borderlands' level cap will be raised in the next DLC offering, which is "the biggest DLC we have made."
"Hopefully we can get a full announcement out to you guys soon," said Jason Reiss, a level designer. He also alluded to an update "that solves a bunch of issues," presently in the works.

Satisfaction abounds!
It's a little thing, but if my character can't advance, I don't feel as motivated to keep on going. My hunter is level 45 or 46 now, so hopefully that will be soon
My only issue is eventually kicking myself when/if a 'complete' edition gets released.

Re: Borderlands
My opinion of this game has dropped somewhat since the last DLC was so multiplayer-oriented (should have included an achievable single-player mode too), but Zombie Island was so good I'm interested in what the next one brings. I can't imagine how long it will take to level up from 50 to 60!

Re: Borderlands
If I get back up and running this weekend from the "Red Rings of Death" then I'm up for any coop if anyone is interested. I do have two other characters I haven't done much around the Level 30 but for that matter could easily start another one. And for sure count me in for a trip to Zombieland.

Re: Borderlands
It depends on your character and weapons. If you haven't faced the "Guardians" yet you'll need a good shock weapon or even better a Alien Sniper. As to the final Boss a good Volcanno Sniper and/or SMG and Assault Rifle with high damage. A extra ammo clip (one that increases your ammo up 700+ )or even better a weapon with ammo regeneration. Of course the best way is coop with someone and it'll go by fairly quick.
One word of warning...if you get killed by the Boss you'll end up right before that and some Guardians will be around waiting for you. And if you hit all the ammo boxes tough luck...no new ones will appear. If by chance you need a coop person send me an invite.

Re: Borderlands
Entrian weapons are the best against the guardian since there is no ammo, just recharge time.
Beat it last night w/ a buddy. Gotta say the ending was somewhat disappointing. Overall a great gaming experience, but the end just left us both feeling somewhat robbed.
