Good lord, that's a hell of a lot harder than the main game. On one hand I don't really need money anymore since my current weapons are better than anything I could buy, but on the other I'm getting pissed at getting killed so much. My wealth is rapidly getting sucked dry in respawn charges.

BTW : Where can you buy a bigger backpack? I haven't seen that offered in a long, long time.
there is one claptrap SDU, i believe, for this DLC in the 1st mission you get that has you go to fight Mr. Shank- i think in Lockdown Palace. you can help the stranded lil' guy and get it.

It should ask you which playthrough you'd like to enter each time you load a game after starting Playthrough 2. Select Playthrough 1 and you should be good to go.

Re: Borderlands

I posted this in another thread but it apprears that it is more appropriate here.

The Borderlands GOTY Edition for PS3 comes with all of the DLC but can you download it to more than one PS3(we have 2 that will use this game)? I read that it is not on a disc but a voucher to download it.

Thanks

The DLC codes are tied to 1 PSN ID. What you want to do is have that PSN ID log onto 1 machine, download it and the log onto the other machine with the original PSN ID and download the DLC again. I believe you can do this 4 or 5 times before you have to contact Sony to reset the DLC restriction. You can do this with any DLC.

Re: Borderlands

Anyone still playing this on PS3? Right now I'm a level 56 and I'm in serious need of some powerful weapons.

I'll be ready when you get your copy. I'll give you one of those invincible shields and help you rank up quickly by killing Drifters and Skyscrapers. My buddy just started over yesterday, because of his hard drive corruption, and when we finished playing tonight he was level 45. I'm at level 57 now but for some reason my xp receiving has slowed to a crawl.

Re: Borderlands

I found the best place to get XP was the Circle of Duty area in the Fort Knoxx expansion. I leveled up like crazy in there, scored a lot of extra money from the drops, as well.

I heard that was a nice place. Bringing down those Drifters and Skyscrapers was netting me close to 10,000/20,000 apiece but my last half hour or so it has dropped to a little over 1,000 for each Drifter. I haven't seen a Skyscrape in awhile.

playing by yourself, drifters and the eridian prometory are the best places imo.

when i "rush" people i have them join my game (so guys are 69+) and go to eridian. 10+k each guy, and some i can one shot to kill

69+? Doesn't the game cap out at 61?

Re: Borderlands

Not with the latest free patch.

Users with Knoxx cap at 69. Everyone else caps at 58.

Re: Borderlands

If I have all of the expansions and I am still on the first play through, do I need to go ahead and install them? Also, if I already have the expansions is there a need to even do the second play through?

Not sure how all of this works for the newer players that didnt have to wait for the expansions.

Thanks.

Re: Borderlands

The second playthrough will be where you net all your XP to level up to 60+. The expansions are stand-alone experiences, so you can install/play them whenever you want.

Re: Borderlands

I just hit 61 last night. I'm wanting to take on the Crawermax guy so if anyone wants to join me (PS3) just let me know. I'm doing it on the 2nd playthrough.

Just started a second playthrough and it's awesome.

Any word on the street of BL2?

Re: Borderlands

I wouldn't expect news on BL2 until 2012. There may be a teaser or something, but Gearbox has enough to keep them going with Duke Nukem and Aliens for now.

Re: Borderlands

If anyone has this on PS3 and wants to get online I'll throw you an invincible shield that another player dropped and gave to me.

Re: Borderlands

i don't really get the appeal of modded weapons. i have played through this game twice with each of the characters and the dlc a few times each (except moxxi, that would be ridiculous) and i think most of the fun is collecting things that are unique/powerful.

Right on. And I think part of the fun is levelling your characters up and not just hitching along for the ride.

Re: Borderlands

Some of the areas are extremely frustrating and having a modded weapon helps to alleviate some of that frustration when necessary.

Re: Borderlands

Modded weapons are especially helpful in Moxxie's Dome challenges. Probably the only way that DLC is tolerable.

Re: Borderlands

I found 3 other players and communication helpful

Just another cyclical topic around here. To each their own. I enjoy this game immensely my way.

Speaking of which, FINALLY getting to the Claptrap DLC since my buddy got it when it was on sale. Not sure what all the complaining was about with it, it's fun! Love when the little Claps talk about seeing three flashing lights when they die

Maybe. Either way Moxxie sucks.

Whoever thought that it was a good idea for DLC needs to be horse whipped. Did we really need to suffer through 100 waves to complete a tournament? And even with a modded shield you can be killed during those stupid vampire rounds.
