Re: Borderlands

You're making an assumption on that $10 since pricing hasn't been announced. Seems likely, but they may surprise us.

Re: Borderlands

No one wants more DLC for this than me, but Arena battles is not what I want.

Re: Borderlands

I have to agree with with pinata360 on that we should be happy to get any DLC period right now and frankly I look at Zombieland as a surprising effort on the DEVs part. I'm more than content with what I have right now with three characters in the mix (Levels 36, 34 & 310 with one more at 24. I'm still on my first play thru.

But I hope they keep what this game is and not drift toward some Teamdeath Match or Versus Mode. There are plenty of games out there with that. Unreal III will get you a quick fix faster than any if that's what people want and the whole game is $10.

Anyone doing any weapon trading on this site? or willing to (360 for me). I'm dying for a chimera, can't find one!

Re: Borderlands

I'm fairly certain this arena DLC will be free. Nobody wants arena battles, and i'm sure the devs know this.

Re: Borderlands

Again, doesn't Microsoft have rules around free DLC not containing achievements? May be an old rule and no longer active, may be a "flexible" rule, or I may just be misremembering that.

I don't really want arena battles either but I'll take them for free and the most I would pay would be 4.99.

Hey

I've done it a few times but between characters mostly though the person hosting has dropped a few for me to look at at, trade or sell. I like using New Haven since it has some vendening machines and a couple of weapon crates to open. You can add me to your friends list. If you're looking for mid Level 30 and up I probably can't help much.

You're my friend and I'm going to cut you a deal. Send me only $35 and your Xbox.com login information and I'll make sure you have the DLC in your download queue as soon as it's available.

Re: Borderlands

The trophies have been added as I noticed my completion percentage dropped from 100 to 85.

I'm on my second playthrough, but haven't run across one. I finally got a Maliwan Hellfire SMG and Maliwan Volcano Sniper rifle and really love these.

Re: Borderlands

It is super easy to replicate weapons and share them with your friends or share them amongst your other characters. I never have any luck finding great weapons but I've seen other players with guns that sell for over 4 million each with 1000-2000 damage per shot. Crazy!

Re: Borderlands

http://borderlandsguide.com/news/bor...underdome-riot

Some more clues about Borderlands second downloadable content package. The site Fragland.net briefly posted some details about Madd Moxxi's Underdome Riot but then quickly took them down. We've obtain the text of the original article though and pasted it below. (Thanks Slayer 8077 for the heads up).

Why would Fragland post this article and then take it down? One possibility is that they jumped some sort of embargo and talked about the game too early.

Gearbox Software`s first DLC for Borderlands, The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned, has just been released and Randy Pitchford has already announced a new part

The new adventure on Pandora will be called Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot and will have three new Riot Arenas. Next to that several storage spaces will be available where you can safely store all your favorite weapons (probably over 100.000) without having to sell them.

Little is known about the story at this moment but Gearbox did say that the DLC will be available on Xbox Live as of December 29th for 800 Microsoft points while PS3 lovers will have to wait until January 7th to get it from PSN for $9,99. Whether the DLC will also become available for the PC version is yet unknown.
The article was orginally posted at this link on Fragland but it was returning an error as for 9:20 AM this morning.

Another strange clue, the only mention of this on the official Gearbox forums has been locked with no explanation.

Gearbox is trying to keep a tight lid on information about the second DLC but hasn't had much luck so far. You'll recall yesterday that information about the second DLC's trophies was leaked.

The picture above came via the Jon Venture. We're still trying to verify this is actually from the game and not a fake.
Not sure what I make of the storage locker rumor, but if it applies to your profile and not your character, that would be amazing!

Re: Borderlands

Please give me storage lockers. I'd pay $10 for just that. (I would imagine they'd be by character.)

Re: Borderlands

From Joystiq:
In a statement, Gearbox's Randy Pitchford clarified the Riot Mode announcement. "This is an ENTIRELY NEW GAME MODE," he said, calling it "Smash TV in coop FPS, but in the Borderlands."
Should be interesting. Sounds like they are going to be a bit more than the normal arena's.

Holy shit, anybody that references Smash TV when talking about their game gets my money.

I am absolutely amazed how quickly this content is coming out.
