I think it could be fun to allow mines in the NON-CTF matches. Just a thought, not a big deal, just might spice things up a bit in the team/death matches.

Actually that's not a terrible idea for TDM, but there's always that one douchenugget who spams them. I'm guessing it would be nic or Steve...perhaps flip.

And they absolutely ruin some otherwise great maps. I'm thinking specifically of Northern Bridge.

And don't get me started on the guys who go to the other team's base and mine their vehicles.

You've played it before as a lobby...I just dropped it in as the first expansion map last week. A small crazy DM...sort of like garden showdown but with some verticality...fairly knife-friendly, so therefore, Chew friendly.

I'll be popping in Modern Warfare 2 right after I'm done with Warhawk (when the expansion come on), so R2, Digi, Nic, if any of you want to have a showdown when you all are done with Warhawk, I'll be there.

Even if it was just for one of the TDM matches, I think it would be fun.

It probably would be me. I really enjoy throwing a mine on a jeep as it drives past me. Then I turn around and watch it blow up. good times.

That's legit (and funny) use of a mine.

What stinks is people using them in ways that I perceive as dirty. It's pretty easy to overrun a team when you mine all of their vehicles, for instance. The wrench helped that a bit, but still. In random matches, you can always count on flags being mined, air mines above Warhawks, the other team mining your bunker, etc. Sometimes, you'll even run into a whole team of mine-whores.

Basically, mine etiquette is one of my favorite things about our game.

I think we all know enough to not be a dick with the mines. In the TDM matches we don't really play for points anyway, it's just fun mindless break from the somewhat serious CTF matches. Like I said, not a big deal, don't be shy to shoot the idea down because I'm not partial either way, I just thought it would spice things up a tad to allow them in a one off match.

Just want to say how much fun this has been since I have picked up Warhawk, definitely one of my more successful purchases of 2009. Nearly everyone I know offline has an X-Box, and most of the other forums I post at are dominated by 360'ers. It's a ton of fun playing with people you can actually discuss game strategies, and funny instances, with later on after the match is over.

People complained about the 3rd Person option in Fallout and Oblivion ("it's like your character is on skates").

I'd love to get that game if the 3rd person were handled well (i.e. better than "skates").
