In random matches, you can always count on flags being mined, air mines above Warhawks, the other team mining your bunker, etc. Sometimes, you'll even run into a whole team of mine-whores.

Basically, mine etiquette is one of my favorite things about our game.

The only thing I agree with you on the mines is mining a vehicle. Mining the flag makes sense and is what you would expect from a mine. Just have a warhawk come in and electrocute or BALL the area first and nothing to worry about. As far as air mining above a warhawk, all you have to do is shoot the mine with your pistol...it is not like air mines are hard to see(unless you are flying full speed into a cloud). I actually get more annoyed when mines are placed at random around the field of play as you don't expect those.

While mines are frustrating, I do think they are integral to capture based games and controlling real estate because really all they do is force someone to go a little slower when taking your flag which gives you a bit more time on defense to react.

Not that I am pushing hard to add mines into our game, I just dont think they are as bad as you do I do wish the proximity sensor of the mine made more sense though. Many times they go off when it seems like they shouldn't. And it would be better if they were not team aware...that would really cut down on the spamming.

OK, I looked it up, and they are playing A TEAM I'VE NEVER HEARD OF!!!

I think there's a decent chance they'll win whether you watch or not...just saying.

Happy to have you Slider, and I'm glad you're having fun.

I think we have a really solid group of regulars these days.

By solid, I didn't mean "is good at the game", rather, I meant "generally shows up and is fun to play with".

You absolutely qualify, if for no other reason than the fact that it's fun to push you off cliffs.

You logged off PSN right as flip was getting the new server loaded.

I don't ever want to go through that kind of lobby again. Although, I do have to look and find out if I actually have some stats now (if we were on a ranked server, that is).

that snow map was very frustrating. It's been such a long time since I have played a map that big. It took forever to get anywhere.

Steve landed a Warhawk behind our base and camped out on the floor just above our flag. After getting blowed up a couple times while trying to defend, I did the unthinkable.

I jumped into a Warhawk.

I may of not taken him out, but I certainly chased him away. Admittedly, it may of only been from shock of being shot at from me in a Warhawk.

I only did it when I felt about 100% safe there were no other Warhawks in the immediate area.

Given the fact all flying Warhawks were barely dots in the distance on that huge map, it wasn't hard to feel pretty safe.

No, I wasn't able to log in to any servers. None at all. Wouldn't let me play anything.
Tried playing this morning and it worked fine now. However, all the tips showed when I was playing, as if I was playing the first time.
Hope you guys had fun.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

@ nic,

I'm guessing that you might have done that accidentally, as it's easy to do. When you pause, if you hit triangle (I think) it mutes all...and then square (I think) unmutes all. I accidentally mute everybody all the time, because I'm always in the menus seeing how things are balanced.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

@ Z,

Bummer. It would have been nice to have you, as we couldn't do "horde mode" and I think a team with you and me might have had a prayer against digi, who's gotten ridiculously good.

It should be noted that the snow map in question will never be seen again and never should have appeared in the first place. When I rushed to redo the setup, I kept getting kicked out of the configuration screen. I must have completely redone the maps and setting twice before the third (arguably) successful try. However, in my haste, I accidentally loaded that monstrosity instead of the Grinder. My public server monstrosity was due to accidentally canceling out of setup just before launch and just not thinking. Too many things going on at once yesterday.

It was almost worth it, though, when chess found digi running with the flag across the entire map and called him out while he's trying to be incognito.

No worries. It saved me some time watching the game at 1am when I should have been sleeping anyway... fast forwarding through the lulls in action since I knew what the score was going to be at particular times.
