It looks like I may be missing this week. I may get on for the last hour or so maybe, just not sure yet.

Thanks, chew!

...but they need to be a little more spiky. Those balls just don't look deadly. I need deadly balls!

Is he gone? looks around for chess

How about a major map mix-up tonight? Maybe go an entire evening without using a single "standard selection"?

Whoa. Now we're talking crazy.

But I'm in if others are game. For those of you guys that know the maps a little better, please send me some ideas. I don't always know the names and layouts even if I'm familiar with the maps. Some smaller maps might also be interesting since we're down some air support for much of the evening with chess out and digi coming in later.

I love a good Batman quote in the morning. It just sets the tone right for the rest of the day.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

yeah, I dont know about mixing the maps up too much. With just 8 players, picking the wrong map can be a painful 20 minutes.

How's this... I'll add two random and completely out of left field maps and the rest will be old standards. We've got to keep Chew happy!

Now if someone doesn't give me ideas I'm throwing darts.

I should be on for the first hour and a half.

And I'm down with a full mix-up if others are interested.

Bigger maps (still balanced though) that don't sound familiar:
Eucadia Map - Summit Command
Badlands Map - Desert Warfare
Archipelago Map - Acropolis Assault

I'm just throwing darts on this wiki: http://www.warhawkstats.com/maps/

I'm thinking of throwing everyone for a loop and adding a Destroyed Capitol map with Zones. It'll blow your mind. And force some people to hop in Warhawks! Without chess, the skies are a little safer for us slugs.

I am in for any map that we can play and not have to go very far to find the other players.

Z + digi >> Flip + Steve + Chew

Small turnout: If we had 7 on, it wasn't for very long. Six at the most, with 3 on 2 being the case for several later maps.

I think that lobby map is a little too big for only 4 people. When I first jumped on, it was several minutes before I even found anybody. It was me vs Z for a few minutes after that. I don't think I found Flip until half-way into the timer.

Digi was a beast on that one CTF map!

I really liked the new snow CTF map, that's a keeper.

Not even remotely as frustrated last night. Well, other than the seriously awkward attempts at flying in that Zone map!

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

Overall, I liked the new maps. None of them were frustrating (at least I didn't think anyone was frustrated) and all added something a little different. The Zones/Destroyed Capitol map was fun just because it was such a drastic change of pace... though I'm not sure how much fun chew had with that one.

I think 6 people is just right for that Glacier CTF. Any more than that and it would probably become a war of attrition.

But yeah... though the games were usually close, Z and Digi definitely dominated. When digi wanted you 'ploded.... he 'ploded you.

And I still didn't hit anyone with my balls. Though I was getting better with the TOW. I was shelling Z, who was on foot, and ran out of missiles (cuz I can't hit shit) and all I had left was the TOW. I actually had to elevate and then fire it because I was too close to the ground. I don't think he enjoyed that one. In fact, I know he didn't because he told me so.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

Well, Flip was TOW'ing every now and then, so he might have gotten you or me yesterday.

I would say Digi was dominating every game yesterday. Capturing flags, recovering flags, and everything else!!

I felt weird flying the Warhawk and jeeps. They didn't maneuver like they usually do which is why I got killed easily in the air.
