Your sensitivity is for your mic, not your earpiece. It wouldn't help you hear.

For those who are struggling with the headsets, I recommend you create an online dummy game (password protected) and tweak your sensitivity. At the top left of your screen, next to your PSN name, you'll see the little sound bars. They should only light up when you talk.

We all get aggrevated every now and then, and I know you guys get to hear me bitch a bit. Usually for me, I either get upset with myself for being a dumbass, or I get irritated when I'm pinned down at my spawn point.

I doubt it. I find it encouraging that I don't have to depend on everybody to show up every week. I figure a few of you will always have something going on, so it's great to have a good mix!

I think its 120 up and 80 down in Warhawk, but I'd have to check...it could be vice versa.

When downloading stuff I usually don't have a problem getting up to 1000 kb/sec (I think), so my connection is plenty fast. I have cable internet and a wireless router. I did hardwire it to the cable router one week, but it didn't make a difference for my cap.

If it turns into an issue (and it hasn't really been yet) and somebody can host a bigger game, I'm happy to defer. I can only think of one time when somebody was trying to get in and couldn't, but that might change during the winter months.

If somebody wants to check their connection, just go to "create game" in the online menu. It will test your speed and automatically set your max size. I think the size goes in increments of 4, so maybe somebody can get to 12 or 16.

That said, that person would have to commit to picking maps and modes every week...and showing up every week.

Right now, on a good week, we have a consistent 6-8 in primetime.

I was writing this before seeing your last post. I'll check the menu on mine like you suggest and see what I get.

I'd be happy to just be the backup. chess does an excellent job with mapping and hosting. I'll check to see what I can host, but I have the fastest FIOS connection Verizon offers. Right now it's on wireless but I'm planning to hardwire it. So yeah, if need be, I'm available.

Right now, my connection speed isn't the limiting factor, but it could become a problem if business picks up.

I'm also happy to train somebody up on what settings I pick and why, and I think we could all give input into the maps and modes.

Lately, my pattern has been something like:

DM (lobby)
CTF
TDM
Zones
Collection
DM (dogfight)
CTF
TDM
Zones
DM (most nights we don't get to this point, and if we do, it's just a few left)

Each map is 25 minutes except for the dogfight, which is 10.

I set the intermission to 10 seconds (the minimum), check all-talk, and check randomize teams. You have to verify that these all "take" before launching the game, as they sometimes revert to default for some reason.

I would also be curious how many others can host, as I think I have a weak cable signal in my office and have been thinking about moving my modem to another room.

I just went home for lunch and checked my connection: I'm sitting at an "8 max" myself.

I'm actually thinking that MAYBE I don't have to be the server and that there may still be dedicated servers out there that I can tap into.

I'll do some "research" this evening.
