Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night
Looks like I'm still out for Tuesday. I was planning to pickup and play between periods of the hockey game... but....
my wife and I welcomed our little girl at 6:37am this morning. Busy day.

This is certainly something I can support.
But really, since I won't be there, you should probably celebrate by finding a rocket launcher and waiting for chess to get tangled up with someone of greater skill.

I have to figure out how to watch the game at the same time tonight...wish I still had a little TV in the kitchen.
...plus I have to pack for a road trip tomorrow morning.

7-8 CST: 4-6 people on
8-9 CST: 6-8 people on
9-10 CST: 6-8 people on (we usually lose a few at 9, but they're often replaced)
10-11 CST: 4-6 people on (we sometimes wrap up at 10 or 10:30 if several are bailing)

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night
Fair enough.
First map is knives and 'nades! (no guns, flamethrowers, rockets, etc)
I'll probably load the jetpack DM at the end, but we usually don't make it to the tenth map.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night
No wrenches to the head tonight.
Chew did knife me a few times in the Knives/Nades match...which was a good time.
I spent a lot more time balancing the teams tonight than I normally have to, but I had some good laughs messing with eroc early on. He's an old buddy from my last job, so we toy with each other quite a bit.
Anyway, good games tonight. Thanks for coming out everybody.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night
I was definitely the "bitch" tonight... found myself wondering if I was on a BS Server some of the times... then, I had to "calm" myself down, and remember that this is for "fun"...
Good Times...
Got me a trophy tonight, so it wasn't all for nothing... :-)
Thanks DVDTalk Clan!!!

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night
No worries. I've had at least one night like that. Generally, playing with an "objective" doesn't help, as it just frustrates you when you don't get there. I'll bet if you're looking for a trophy, somebody will help you out. If I'd been on the other team, I'd have let you run over me and jeep gun me once. No biggie.
One dickish thing I unintentionally did tonight: On that zones map in badlands, I didn't realize until 15 minutes in that the center base was your home base, and I was spending a lot of time over there. We really have to refrain from overrunning the other team's spawn point, as I know it's not "fun" to spawn and find yourself faced with somebody who's fully armed or a tank/warhawk.
I'm also thinking that zones isn't the best mode for us, and I'll probably roll in more collection and CTF next week. I only had about 5 minutes to pick the maps tonight, because I wanted to let my little guy finish his level in Lego Indy, so I didn't get to put as much thought into the "flow" of the games as I usually do. FWIW, the death matches at the end were a result of a lot of folks dropping out between 9 and 10 last week. I wanted to accommodate small numbers, but I think we sill had 6 at 10PM, so it's a bit of a crap shoot.

Doubtful, I ended up in the bottom 2-3 score-wise the entire night.
Yeah, ween in a tank, chess in a warhawk, and I'm on the opposing team on foot. Good times.
I doubt there's a more lethal combo to go up against in our little group.
