I remember all that you guys are talking about. The tank convoy was awesome, and the 3 of us catching nothing was great. I did laugh when I saw you 2 hopping around.I had a blast while it lasted. I got on in time to see a full house in the warhawks only level (a great addition) and that was very cool with all the new faces.
I gotta say I dig being on your team Ween, I always want to go into battle side by side.... but when were on opposite teams, I gotta make sure your the first person I put a bullet in

Yeah, that's a Clan game. The way it actually works (as opposed to the mess that occurred on Sunday!) is that if I started a Clan map, anyone in my Clan could sign on and automatically be put on my team. Anyone else that signed on would be put on the opposition. You really don't play other Clans (unless you pre-arrange the thing and use a password) -- you play a team comprised of anyone else that wants to log in. But you'd have to start the Clan game because you couldn't guarantee you'd be on the same team if you joined someone else's Clan game because someone could be put on the "home" team to even out the numbers.

Either way, whatever you set up for clan stuff, I'll do my best to show up.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night
haha...it is funny how whenever we are on different teams in the public maps we always seem to find each other more then we should. I really wish there were a way to insure playing on the same team on public servers though as that was fun working together. First time in a long time where I actually had fun playing on the Destroyed Capital map.
Dude its a blast when were on the same team! That capital was fun; I wish there was a default to be able to join buddies teams. We do find eachother alot. Last time I was playing I didnt know you joined, than boom! You got me first. I was, "theres no way thats the same ween!" Flip, if thats how the clan would work and we can all team up against a random group, it would be a awesome. Lets get that done!

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night
Is there a good map on Capital for non-flyers? I'm pretty fond of King of the Hill, but moreso as a TDM than a CTF (lots of nooks and crannies).
Speaking of which, how did you guys like the map mix this week? Any thoughts?
On Island Outpost, we had a CTF on Standoff and a TDM on Over the Bridges. I'd never played over the bridges, and at first, I thought it would be too big, but I think the size allowed the new guys a chance to get acclimated and it turned out to be a lot of fun. Standoff CTF is a staple, but it's tough to beat the guys who get the warehouse side.
On Eucadia, we had a TDM on Northern Bridge and a Zones on Valley Battle. Valley Battle is another one that I hadn't played, and I don't think we had enough people, but it seemed like it would be a terrific Zones map. Northern Bridge is a staple, but Tues was the first time I'd loaded it as a TDM, and I think I liked it better as a TDM than a CTF. I'm starting to think that CTF only really works on symmetrical maps.
On Badlands, we had a CTF on Supply Chain, which I loved, and the DM lobby was South City. I think I like Supply Chain better than Skirmish in that it's just a bit bigger and has a more interesting base. That CTF was a blast. South City is probably my favorite lobby in that it has a lot of variety, isn't especially "twitchy" and has plenty of places to hide.
On Destroyed Capital, we had nothing. I initially had a TDM loaded for King of the Hill, but I replaced it at the last minute.
On Archipelago we had a Zones on Acropolis Assault and a 10 minute Dogfight DM. I think Acropolis Assault will probably show up in some form every week. It's a great map. I'm not sure whether I prefer it for Zones or CTF though. I think the short dogfight was a winner as well. Folks who aren't at all interested in flying can grab a snack or a pee, and everybody else gets a few minutes of flying but not long enough to get frustrated.
Nothing on Omega Factory. I replaced the dome at the last minute as the lobby because I didn't want to start with DLC. I knew I had two new guys and didn't know whether they had it.
On Vaporfield Glacier, we had a TDM on The Grinder, but we mostly just messed around because there weren't enough people left for a proper TDM. I think more and more that the last few maps should be traditional DM, as the numbers often thin at about 10PM CST. At any rate, I find this little map appealing for some reason.
On Tau Crater we had jetpacks (oh my!). This non-warhawk jetpack map was absurdly fun, and will likely be the lobby next week. Those without DLC, please plan for 7:30 CST.
Please feel free to discuss, as I'm pretty much locked in my office today and could use a little distraction!

But we should also decide on a map rotation for Clan games beforehand... for whichever one of us sets the game up.

...speaking of the Clan, is the Leadership still making the rounds? Anyone that hasn't gotten it, be sure to speak up. Also, I'm not sure if you have to be a leader to send Clan invites, but we've got two new recruits that will need to be added.

Instructions for Tuesdays are in the first post, but start by sending me a friend invite on PSN.
Hopefully you'll be able to jump in sometime!

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night
Sounds good, although I guess I would prefer to get rid of the DM maps...TDM is probably fine.
I am pretty much available at night any time after 8:30pm cst if we just want to slap together a clan server real quick.

I'll check in Sunday night, if somebody wants to set it up. I can play host one night a week, but probably not two.

Out of curiosity, what is the limitation that prevents you from hosting more? Personal or technical? I have never done it at this point so just wondering...

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night
Personal. I could technically host games every night...or even nonstop if I wanted to set my PS3 up as a dedicated server.
As the host, my level of commitment has to be a bit higher than everybody else's. That's not a bad thing, and I enjoy setting up the maps and balancing the modes...but I don't think I could commit to always being able to do it two nights a week.
The spousal unit would not approve.

My weekends tend to be flexible, as long as I know in advance...so whatever you guys come up with, I'll probably show up.

I'll show up after the hockey game.
If you do host, digi, you have to select a few things to get it up correctly. I think you even have to select a box to make sure that all our clanmates get put on the correct team. I'm not sure that's an automatic option. It took me a few tries to get it working right. But if you've got experience setting one of these games up, more power to you. I floundered trying to make it work.
