Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night
BTW, I generally liked the rotation last week, and will probably keep a few of those.
I also like to mix it up between DM, TDM, Flag and Collection.
Hero seems like a dud no matter which map...or was it just me?

Maps that are Warhawk-free are generally pretty small, but I can definitely load some. Otherwise, we'd just have to do it on the honor system, which I will hold to if everybody's tired of shooting me down.
Just don't come crying to me when digiwok is rolling around in a tank like he owns the place.

Ha. (but, really, I do follow the NBA by only watching 4th quarters)
I normally tape regular season games and watch them later to cut out commercial time and intermissions. But that's just not possible for playoff hockey. Not only could I not handle knowing what's going on, but I'd get 20 text messages during the game. Plus I'm a Penguins season ticket holder if that reveals anything about my particular obsession.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night
Are we doing any expansion maps at all?
I would like a Tau Crater small DM map with no warhawks if possible...just jet pack DM fun
I would prefer less DM and more CTF, Zones and Collection though. And no large maps...medium or small only...and maybe we should do a warhawk only dogfight on the destroyed capital to force everyone to get some warhawk time with a bunch of novices since we need more warhawk fliers, including myself.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night
About the same as last week. Probably the last 2-3 maps.
The best map there is the one in the crater, but it has Warhawks, and there's no indication of which vehicles are included in each map on the selection screen. If you can research it and give me a specific map on Tau, I'll load it.
I assume you won't mind if it has tanks?
I usually only use DM for a lobby and at the end of the night when numbers thin. I do like TDM though, so you'll see a bit of that in the mix.
I may do one (just one) large map. I just have a soft spot for Eucadia.
Otherwise, give me specifics...give me a map you like for CTF, zones and collection.
I've done that before you jumped in...and to mixed reviews. My favorite dogfight is the Archipelago. And yes, we need more flyers, especially if we have aspirations of clanning it up.

I vote for one of these, even if only for 10 mins or so. The Archipelago dogfight was fun in the public game I played. I got absolutely destroyed, but you just keep respawning and trying new things. It's the best way to practice flight control and evasion...

I'm going to do my best to make it tonight at least for a few minutes. This is about one of the only free weeknights I'm going to have for the foreseeable future thanks to my job.

Good to hear it Cloud...at least the part about you popping in tonight.
I've heard it's tough being a male stripper.

Won't make it tonight folks. Got a new PC and I need to get it ready for work tomorrow. Next week's gonna be tough too - Red Faction Guerrilla's out that day! I'll be back though.

Got a few friend invites today from seemingly random folk...hopefully they play nice, but keep me informed if you see anything overly cheap or aggressive.
Maps are loaded...will launch the server at 7 CST.

That was a fun set of matches. Bought Warhawk and the expansions when they were on sale, but I had only played for a few hours before tonight - hence the constant suicides and lack of skill. It was useful to figure out how to use the different weapons like the binoculars and the healing thing in addition to getting a feel for the maps. Will definitely try to play again next week.

I actually took out a few Warhawks with a tank last night.
After changing my headset settings to match chess, how did I sound? As loud and clear as chess, I hope?

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night
Great times last night! I loved the map rotation, and everybody seemed in good spirits. Glad Clint and VJ had a good time...was afraid we might have scared Clint off at some point.
I loved the map rotatation, though a couple were bigger than I thought they'd be. I loaded several that I'd never played, so it was a calculated risk.
I also liked the 10 min dogfight. I went guns only for the most part, and it was a good chance to grab a snack or take a leak for those not interested in flying.
Jetpacks FTW!!!
Digi, Flip and I had a great final DM round on Tau Crater with the jetpacks. I'm getting the jetpack controls down a bit, but I really feel like I have to contort my hand to do it. Cramp city. Still, it was a great time.
