The wookie was stabbed, and it was good.

I think I had the most fun with Slider, Cruz and Flip playing Rush. We were tearing it up for a bit there when we were attacking and defending as a team. Folks tend to freelance a bit more in Conquest for some reason...myself included.

Had over 5K points on one Conquest map.

I can't begin to say how much more I personally enjoy Rush over Conquest. Conquest just seems so boring to me for some reason.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

My whole system froze after that Conquest map so I just shut it down. Figured I only had one more game in me anyway.

And wow. I was awful on Recon. Part of the problem was that I tried to get in sniper battles with Rank 40 dudes on the other team. I lost every one. I should have just stuck with the pistol which I actually found pretty effective.

If you're working as a unit in Conquest, it's just as fun. You have to let somebody take the lead (preferably somebody with a mic ) and call the next objective to take.

You may have noticed that I always announced which objective I was headed toward, and the hope is that folks will either follow me or meet me there.

I also enjoy Rush, but I find that it's much harder to find a good competitive game. Usually one team or the other is dominating because Rush magnifies minor differences in balance.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

Maybe, I was in a rush game where my team was demolished and I still enjoyed it more than a conquest map where the roles were reversed. I don't like domination (conquest in CoD) much either. I don't really know why.

Is the system freeze common with BFBC2? I experienced it during the first map I played with you guys. One second I was driving a dunebuggy and the next it was frozen. I couldn't even turn off the system from the controller, I had to switch it off from the back of the system.

Oh, and I accidentally killed Flip last night. I know it probably looked like me just being douchy, but it was an accident. Sorry about that, Flip.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

Generally, glitches are rare, but I ran into a few oddities last night.

This morning everything seemed back to normal...played for 2-3 hours.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

Personally I love Rush on BFBC2 and unlike Slider I love Domination in CoD. Conquest is just not really as enjoyable and for the life of me I can't explain why.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

The maps are too big for Conquest. I spent a good five minutes driving from one point at one far end of the map, to the other end, back and forth recapturing those two points and never ran into enemies. After that I decided to just hunt tanks with C4 and sit in the middle sniping people because I got restless.

The only map that's too big is Heavy Metal IMO.

I'm not familiar enough with the maps to know which one that is.

I got bored and destroyed all the buildings last time I was in that match.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

Played a bit more BC2 Saturday morning and night. Met some interesting guys and added them to my FL, and I got to play with Digi a bit late in the evening and Diecast early. Flip and Ktown were in the late game as well, but my squad was full...not sure if they hooked up, but they were both still on my team as blueberries.

That's the beauty of the game. You don't really have to have a planned number or group of people to play and can just hook up randomly. If 2 show up, cool...if 4 show up, awesome...if more show up...perhaps more complicated but still fine. That said, Gonzo really wants to play a dedicated server sometime. We need 8+ for that.

On the Warhawk front, I'm assuming dogmatica isn't ready just yet...please keep me updated so I can limit maps. What does everybody else want to see?

When I jumped on, I got put into a squad of delinquents. I kept trying to swap out of the squad but they kept putting me back in. The squad consisted of a pre-pubescent ranting about how some stupid noob couldn't turn his microphone on and another dude who sounded like this guy:

Suffice to say when you go into battle, you want to go in with Hightower. But when he dropped off I had to get out of that squad so I went solo. Shortly thereafter I got the invite from digi and Diecast. Thank goodness for that.

So jealous - I have to hope for a hurricane day to get in a day of goofing off.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

Edits to OP:

Vehicular Manslaughter: Played on Grinder. Sort of like K&N except with the flamethrower, biofield, and jeeps (no guns of any kind or rocket launchers). Bonus points for honking before you run someone over.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

I think rocket launchers would be better than flamethrowers. Flamethrowers blow jeeps up in about seven-ten seconds, so you can't really call it vehicular manslaughter. I'll probably just hop on after the lobby tonight.

And I'll probably be on BFBC2 from approx. 5 to 7 est if nothing comes up and anybody wants to join.
