Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night
Wasn't planning a Grinder lobby this week anyway. I'm seeing enough snow outside. I was thinking Knives/Nades on Eucadia.
I thought the flamethrowers really evened things up between the jeeps and the guys on foot since they can take a jeep out but not too quickly like a rocket launcher would. I didn't realize I was the only one who liked the idea.
Will reassess.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night
Funny night. Early turnout has been kind of weak the past few weeks...hopefully just a phase. We eventually ended up with a healthy 5 on 5 and probably 12 people dropped in over the course of the night. Cool to see Cactus in the game.
Hopefully, we'll get a bit more consistent as we approach the beginning of our third year.
Highlights for me:
- Chew and me putting up a last stand on Island Outpost and whooping some red ass...including a synchronized rocket launcher Warhawk takedown on Slider. I even had an epic run getting to Chew, taking out at least 3-5 dudes on the way.
- Four of us riding around in the "motherfucker".
- Digi air-to-air balling 3 of us in a "motherfucker".
- Driving around Grinder with Chew just lighting dudes up.
- A low level of team damage (20% in this case) still provides some hilarity.
- Still loving King of the Hill with jetpacks...too much fun...and Spire Shut-In was pretty good too.
- Fun with Nic in the lobby...him shooting his own feet with the binocs twice and getting me with it once. Well played.
- I feel kind of bad about it, but I had fun ganging up on digi with Flip on Spire Shut-In. It was 2 on 1 in the air that whole map. Usually, I'm on the receiving end of that kind of treatment.
- Marcus saying I wouldn't knife him again all night and me knifing him 20 seconds later.
- Marcus getting a couple of sniper kills on Grinder and saying "It's like hunting deer." I promptly spawned in the tower and sniped him...followed by a binoc for good measure.

Hopefully, we'll get a bit more consistent as we approach the beginning of our third year.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night
Nic got the best of me on numerous occasions last night.
I don't think I got any good kills in. Digi got me a few times, too.
Great time last night though. Frizby's perplexity by me camping the other team's base, stealing their cores, and then jumping off the cliff was funny. After a moment he knew exactly why I did it though.
Chess, I only killed you with binoculars two times during that archipelago map. I killed you four times altogether. The first time you were waiting for me to come up the ladder, and when you jumped down I wrenched you. Then you hunted me down while I was in one of those bunkers and I wrenched you again. After that I binoc'd your tank twice.
The motherfuckers were a ton of fun. At one point Friz was looking for one so I flew over to his base and took his just seconds before he could get to it. Then Flip came after me and got it down to about one bar of health so I hopped out and got into a new one. I think he called me a bastard.
Your work buddies always have me laughing hysterically, Chess. Every week.
And finally, Chew is a cheater. Missed R2 again.

I liked when Marcus was hiding in the bunker even after the flag had been returned to our base. Two of us were yelling at him to go plant it but he continued to stand there. So we both whipped out our knives and tried to teamkill him to take the flag. It may have even been Slider. I think he was on my team for that round. Meanwhile, someone flew up and took our flag before we could get him dead.

Yeah, that was me. I got the flag and got out there just in time to see somebody run away with ours.

I did the suicide Warhawk once as well...and I think Slider might have loaded up a motherfucker with mines, because I hit him with electricity once and got a mine kill.
I might very well hit some BC2 tonight.

I didn't mine the drop ship. It must have been nic. It was your motherfucker and he was over there trying to pick up a flag when I stole it.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night
And to clear the record...I was not drunk either last night or last week...Last week I was just having fun as it never seemed like the teams were balanced in a way that I could play all out so I decided to mess with Slider. This week I went back and forth between the two modes, but last night I just wasnt really into it either way as the modes, maps and team balances just werent doing it for me for some reason and Slider and I kept being on the same team. Just one of those days I guess...some funny times though, I was especially proud of my balling of the drop ship and flip strategically air mining me a few times.

That makes sense. The way it popped up, I thought you were a passenger.

BFBC2 is driving me crazy. Every time I try to play it there is something wrong. The first two times I got a bad freeze that forced me to shut the system down from the back switch, now I've had a mixture of the game not being able to find any matches for me to join until I restart the system, or it saying the server is unavailable (even though I can log in and play Black Ops and Warhawk). Frustrating.

It's been a little goofy since the PSN update...no issues at all before that.
I feel compelled to get a little ME2 in, or I'd have tried to jump on.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night
It really is a new thing...never had an issue until this past weekend. Hopefully it's just a temporary issue with their dedicated servers.
It's definitely a better "game" than CoD, but the back end is definitely lacking in comparison, and I think Warhawk is the most consistent and stable online multiplayer game I've ever played.

Have you even given CoD a chance recently? Sure it's filled with douche, but you can still have a blast, especially if you go to barebones where there are no attachments, killstreaks, etc. I love certain aspects of BFBC2, the job specialization, vehicles, and destructive environments, some others, I prefer CoD, i.e. love the killcam, not a fan of the watch your killer walk around after killing you (unless someone kills them during it.) Also, BFBC2 can make me feel motion sick at higher camera speeds whereas Black Ops or MW2 don't, not sure why that is yet.
