If you enjoy Tower Defense games, highly recommend Defense Grid (XBLA).

I've been spending time going back through to "rainbow" (to use the Pixeljunk Monsters term) all of the maps now that I'm pretty good.

Traitorous bastards. How dare you use the word "gamertag" in a PS3centric forum. I too, blame Slider's sniper style.

What!?! You can't expect all 6000+ posts to be about Warhawk (anyone noticed Slider snuck in and grabbed #6000)
Upon graduation you get Massengill chips, an I'm a Douchebag button and a silent microphone.

<--- Remembers Slider having a mic for a minute or two...sounding like crap...breaking up...never speaking again.
This thread is many things, including all of the above. We're dangerously close to our 2 year anniversary...or measured another way, 3 Call of Duties ago. That's a long time fellas.

They have their place, but far too often I am playing rush where we have like 5 or 6 snipers who provide zero value because all they do is sit back and take pot shots. They don't help in any way to set the charges and many times when playing defense they just sit there and keep sniping all while the attacking team is laying charges on the mcom and make no attempt to diffuse. You don't need that many snipers.
Just the sort of thing Slider might do.

Wow, got a shipment notice today. 2nd day first class. Not too shabby for free shipping. To think, I almost bought it for $42 about ten days ago, and then I saw it on Craigslist for $33 and almost bought it. Good things come to those who wait.
And yes, Chess, that is exactly the sort of thing I would do.

Picked up a copy from a guy on Craigslist last night for $10. Registered my brand-new PSN account and am ready to play. I usually work every other Tuesday night, including this week. Next week, however, I already have plans to be out of town so I'll see if I can get a little practice under my belt and not be a total noob, just a rookie noob, by the time I'm able to join in on February 15 (no expansion pack, by the way, so the regular maps would be appreciated). Any tips on how to customize my soldier?
Looks like fun.

I just recommend you read the first post and please don't judge the game based on your multiplayer experience outside of our group. It's a 3-year old game, so anybody still playing it (and there are a bunch) has gotten scary good. We tend to give new guys lots of space to figure things out and we generally moderate the cheaper and more powerful weapons. At least 75% of the time, most of us are just messing around and laughing at the shenanigans.
Customization is purely aesthetic, as there are no perks or weapon upgrades. Basically, you have the same guns and abilities as everybody else. If you rank up in the public servers, you'll unlock some new outfits, and you have tons of Warhawk paint schemes from the start.

What do you guys think about adding flame throwers to Vehicular Manslaughter?
And what do you think about a Grinder CTF?

Can you put APCs on Grinder or is it too small?
