Awesome!

I anticipate Rubadub will be on tonight too. Continue to be patient with him please.

Keeping things off topic I went ahead and pulled the trigger on Battlefield BC2 Ultimate Edition, Borderlands GOTY, and Assassin's Creed Brotherhood ( The copy I've been playing was a rental). - All 3 for about $100.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

Light turnout but good times. 9 total showed up tonight, but it can be expected on a holiday week.

Funniest thing tonight was Chew driving an APC into the blue base on Eucadia, grabbing the flag, and inadvertently backing over Flip.

When slider disappeared for a good bit..."I'll bet Slider is watching people though his binocular scope and masturbating furiously."

Could have lived with less base raping on Vaporfield and fewer mines on Island Outpost from Slider, but c'est la vie. I think we need Nic in the game to keep him distracted...you know...sexually. Cruz would be a suitable substitute, but he hasn't gotten good enough at Warhawk to live up to his true douche potential, which is near limitless.

I have no doubt in my mind that you'll get your money's worth out of Battlefield.

I also think we could easily get a 4-man Borderlands run going...bet the weapon drops are phenomenal.

Edit to add: BC2 Ultimate Edition is $30 again on Amazon.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

....wondering if Slider set a new record for suicides last night. He'd grenade himself pretty much any time he saw me last night.

Also felt bad for not letting Cactus make a flag run in the last map. He was flying down the hill in a jeep, and I didn't know it was him.

I already got the platinum from a rental copy of BFBC2 but I am really looking forward to checking the DLC packs.

IIRC, I may have a Berserker at level 35ish already from my rental ( Gamefly is sooo much better than people make it out to be - IMHO) Also looking forward to checking out some DLC. I remember a couple of weapons were incredible. My fav was actually a magnum with acid rounds and a scope - Better than any weapon - only had six shots but it doled out some serious damage with the intial shot and wiped enemies out after the shot.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

sorry I didn't make it last night. I didn't know we were still playing, I thought this was the BC2 thread. My mistake.

Spoiler:

I was at my parents until 10:00, then my wife wanted to play rock band.

"Damn Chew!"
Had fun last night. I think Flip was on the recieveing end of a couple of my suicide bomb jeeps (which are usually intended for Slider).
Got TOW'd by Slider - one time was point blank just as I was gonna try to mine his Warhawk.
I also had my way with K-town a couple of times - he usually gets the jump on me and hands me my ass but last night there were a few times where he was running around in a jeep and I swooped in with a Warhawk and got a little sky justice

Seems to me we should ressurect the Weekly Rotating games thread since the other games talk is really confusing /annoying people.

You're too good in the air. That Vaporfield map we had you guys outnumbered and you still beat us. It took both Flip and I in the air to keep it competitive, but even then we only had Chew fetching cores because Rubadub didn't seem to know what exactly he was supposed to do. Once Flip stopped flying and started getting cores I did whatever I had to in order to keep you out of the air, and if that meant cheap shots and blowing up spare Warhawks at your base in between then... I don't regret it. We still lost.

The mining at the end was just because we were outnumbered and you guys already had four flags and we only had one (until you guys let Chew get another). I was doing whatever I could to even it up a bit. I started mining when it didn't look like Don had any intention of letting up and kept making flag runs while you kept me out of the air.

Vaporfield was pretty hectic. I was certainly glad for Slider's contribution to "entertaining" frizby in the air. I wasn't getting it done tonight. I even failed to cherry pick while he was otherwise occupied. We held on for a bit but it was tough sledding. Then the other team piled in a ten-spot near the end despite my best efforts to take the core-carrier out. Pathetic. Then when I started collecting at the end, we had the cores in hand when the time expired but couldn't plant them. Oh well.

Oh and Chew was literally one step away from the flag capture on Badlands. It was a real nail biter. I watched it from my tank and those were both the slowest and the fastest ten seconds I've ever seen in this game.

Even though I haven't won many of the matches lately, I'm liking these additional Collection maps. It means I don't have a flag to defend and can get out into the fray.

On one of the later Collections, I was rolling in my tank until chess had sighed one too many times and said something to the effect of "I need to get into the air". The tide certainly turned then.

Slider and his mines: saw him driving around in a jeep with mines on every side. "Nice headlights". Then later he was dropping mines off the land bridge onto the road below to protect my backside.

Had another of my "brain farts" last night and attacked a teammate for a bit too long of a time. Ugh.

In retrospect, I think I got out of the tank a split second too early and may of made it if I rolled up on top of our flag instead of trying to run the last few feet.

You've gotten pretty damn good in a tank.

I was shorthanded on one collection map and trying to come back on the other after somebody switched teams without saying anything.

Slider and his mines: saw him driving around in a jeep with mines on every side. "Nice headlights". Then later he was dropping mines off the land bridge onto the road below to protect my backside.
I just heard KTown getting frustrated with them, and I hate breaking our norms when new players are in the game.

If we won that one, which I don't think is right, it wasn't by much. It just forced me to play more aggressive than I normally like...particularly with so few flyers in the game.

Fair enough on the score. I hate to see that too and had made a point to get out of the air.

That one was hectic, but you guys led for 3/4 of the map including a stretch of playing 4 on 2 when Slider switched teams and I was still sitting out.

I'm thinking that ten-spot was the go ahead score.

Hmmm. I think we had 3 maps last night where a team was carrying the winning score as time expired. Good stuff!!!

I think you might have been the only one to actually listen to me about that.

I'm playing some BC2 tonight for anybody who wants to play a game that doesn't suck the balls.
