I wish I could put that video in my sig so it could be in this thread 1000 times. It's now in my favorites both at home and at work. It has replaced the Snoopy Dance (below) as my "centering moment" video. I find it positively uplifting.

While you can't put the actual video in your sig, why not replace your "BALLS!" with "BALLS!"?

I rode around in the back of nicholls' jeep for most of the map as I watched the Braves' game on my computer. I'd shoot a building every so often just to make sure the bastard wasn't in there and go back to grumbling about Derrek Lee's complete inability to hit a decent fastball.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

Funny, I was thinking you guys didn't like Hunted much. It felt fairly uneventful to me, and I think my map might have been a bit too big. I just wanted to make sure The Hunted had plenty of options.

I also thought about a Zombie mode while we were playing that might be a bit more active than Hunted.

- Small but cluttered map with no vehicles (Badlands South City comes to mind and it even looks "post-apacalyptic")
- Everybody on blue except for one person (red looks more zombie-like)
- That person hunts everybody else...normal weapon limits (no mines but otherwise straight up)
- Every time The Zombie kills somebody they switch to red
- Last man standing wins

Apologies for my bitching on Northern Bridge...just felt helpless spawning into Digi and Flip in the air, KTown and Shao in both of our tanks, and nic on the roof of our warehouse with binocs. I know the score didn't match my frustration, but it wasn't really about the score. If you're on the Chernovian side of that map, you're basically defending against a wave, and if the wave ever breaks, you're completely screwed because you don't even have anywhere to run.

The highlight of my night: Catching a glimpse of nic on top of a mountain binocularing somebody on Island Outpost and dipping my Warhawk just enough to launch him off the top of the mountain. Somebody said his binoculars "looked like a laser light show" as he fell! Nic44 Suicide

this is why I left. I think the point of a team deathmatch is to kill the other team. We were coming across that bridge to a wall of defense. You had the upper hand. Once we made it through, we had the upper hand.

Favorite quote of the night = "You are winning 25-11, I'll do whatever the f**k I want to."

I was disappointed that we didn't get to play Archipelago, which is by far my favorite map.

Yup. And also, if Northern Bridge is that shitty of a map for any conceivable game, why do we keep playing it every week? The map is so small that you are on top of each other. If the other team decides to hunker down, then what are we supposed to do? Sit there in our base and just lob tank shells at you the whole game? If you guys aren't going to come out, then we are coming in. It never fails that someone gets upset in this map and it is rarely fun. TDM should generally be on maps that have at least 1 additional base to give a bit of breathing room so that the base rape scenario is less likely.

Also, if you choose to not be in a warhawk, don't complain that the other team is in a warhawk pestering you on the ground. Do something about it. If the teams are lopsided, lets address that, but lets stop calling people douchey, cheap and dirty just for playing aggressive and playing to the advantages of the game that are either earned or given.

And TDM sucks

For the hunted, we really need to give the new hunted more breathing room when finding a hiding place. Basically I think everyone needs to go back to the original spawn base(via suicide or something) so that the hunted can go anywhere in the map. The only way to do that is in a warhawk and there are too many other warhawks and jeeps, etc out in the playing field that it is too easy to accidentally see where the hunted ran off to...unless everyone really is looking at the floor/ceiling like they are supposed to be.

Yeah, it was the first map, so I missed it as well. I do like that map as well and it tends to be my favorite.

Specifically Acropolis Assault. That was the last map of the night, but we were down to less than 6 and ended early.

I'd like to see Acropolis Assault around 8ish from now on.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

My favourite time yesterday was on the island map with me, Sldier and Digi against 3 others in a TDM. Me and Slider spent the whole time trying to kill each other. Sometimes I wish that friendly fire was a higher percentage.

I was wondering why I pretty much only saw digi on that map.

Yeah, me against frizby and shao in the air and you on the ground in a missile turret. That was....a challenge

And then of course Slider decided to start blowing up all of the warhawks in our only base just to add a bit more of a challenge.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

Only on one side! Steve was running for one and I blow it up, so he turns around and heads for the next one and I blow that one up, finally he goes for another and I blow it up. But yeah, that map was probably the most fun for me, too. Hunted was great as well, but Digi is on to something with everyone committing suicide and spawning back at the home base when we get a new hunted player.

Suggestion for Northern Bridge: In our weekly CoD:MW2 games we have a sniper match where we divide the map in half. One team can only stay on one side of the map, and the other team can only stay on their side. I think it would work on Warhawk. We could still allow warhawks in the air, but the rule is that you can't land them and get out on the other team's side. The bridge would be the only neutral ground where both teams can go. Just a thought.

Better yet might be that everyone switches teams except the new hunted player, so that way everyone suicides and the new hunted can likely spawn from anywhere on the map since the hunters usually have all of the bases.
