How do you play CTF on these island maps when you can't carry the flag in a 'hawk?

You can turn on the option of flying as a flag carrier, Chess has it turned off so you can only use land vehicles.

If we had flying with flags, Steve would have the flag captured 3x before team balancing was done.

Any other thoughts on this one? Grinder tends to either be a miserable blowout or a hilarious blast of a map. It's also one of only a few maps with ONLY jeeps.

If nobody else cares, I'll skip a week, but I've come full circle on Grinder...I like it.

The last thing you want is people carrying flags in Warhawks...could work with Jetpacks though.

I can't see the map from work, but I don't remember Southern Islands being symmetrical, which is an absolute deal-breaker for CTF.

Grinder is the tiny snow map with hangers at each end. We've been playing it as a Hero map but used to play it as a CTF.

So here's what I've got...Flip, R2 and Nic are watching grown men iceskate...Sean is out of town (I know because I sent him)...and Steve might show up after drinking his height in beer.

I had planned on missing Warhawk on the night of Lost's 2 hour series finale next month. I knew there was zero way I'd avoid spoilers the next day if I didn't.

Just found out the finale is on a special night: Sunday.

You say Grinder is one of a few maps that are small enough to only have jeeps, can we play some of the other ones that are that small? I like the smaller maps. Also, I would like to request jet packs for the K&N lobby.

I'm actually not aware of another one with just jeeps.

High City - No vehicles
Fortress - Warhawks only
Urban Strike - Warhawks/jeeps
Main Base - Warhawks/jeeps and 1 tank
Thunder Dome - no vehicles
Villiage - no vehicles
Standoff - Warhawks/jeeps
Several others with no vehicles...

I've got nothing else. Ideas???

That's a no-go. We tried this a few weeks ago on Fortress and it was a clusterfuck with people just flying around aimlessly...like Joust in a 3-D space.

I can do a lobby with jetpacks or I can do K&N, but not both.

I leave it to the community which we do...and I vote for K&N.

K&N is one of the few times I have the chance to score in the top 3....so, you know my vote.

Chew...I hope you won't be too upset if I load up Grinder. It's really the best Hero map available.

I'll try to find some small maps for Slider, but they are really only good for TDM and Hero.

Whether I'm Hero at the time or not, my one and only purpose for that map will be to clear out the middle building.....snipers have been warned!

Gotta love Chew! Maybe I'll make it a TDM just for a change of pace.
