I wish they show a old clip with a Norm MacDonald OJ after weekend update or Che and Jost did a OJ joke in the spirt of Norm Macdonald.
That be the ultimate FU to the Juice.

They could say OJ passed away, and then say here is a video remembrance of him, and have it be a montage of Norm ripping on how OJ was a murderer.

I think they're required to show a "in memoriam" card for OJ because he did host SNL once.

The In Memoriam segment should just be 5 minutes of Norm McDonalds OJ jokes.

I'm going to quote part of a port-OJ's death article from Variety
I just love that they still want to play it as a mystery why Ohlmeyer wanted Norm gone.
The guy is leaving work to go pray with OJ in jail, while Norm is pretty much calling OJ a murderer on TV, but we can't put the pieces of that puzzle together.
In his book “Top of the Rock,” Littlefield also remembered how much Ohlmeyer was by Simpson’s side, often to the “detriment” of NBC. “Don spent countless afternoons in prayer sessions with O.J. and Rosey Grier. He was at the L.A. County jail far more frequently than he was in the office.”
. . .
Preston Beckman, who was NBC’s head of scheduling at the time recalled the network’s daily 2:30 p.m. programming meetings — and how the Simpson trial was always in the air, yet never discussed. Ohlmeyer would quickly leave to see Simpson after those meetings.
“It was always hanging over us, what was going on. We all knew where Don was off to as soon as the meeting was over,” Beckman said. “We knew it was a topic not to bring up or discuss in that room… I remember a few weeks after the verdict, he called me and Warren up to his office and sort of thanked us for the way we handled all of it. We were able to continue to work and do our jobs and never bring it up with him. We kind of just accepted what was going on and didn’t make an issue of it. And that was that.”
Well, not quite. Although Ohlmeyer never publicly cited Norm MacDonald's O.J. Simpson jokes as a reason (he didn’t mince words about Simpson as the killer) — and even former execs like Beckman can’t confirm this for sure — it’s widely documented that his dislike for the comedian led to Macdonald’s ouster as “Weekend Update” anchor on “Saturday Night Live.”
“It’s possible; I do know Don always had a bug up his ass about Norm Macdonald; maybe that was the reason,” Beckman said. “That was an ongoing complaint of his. ‘We gotta get rid of him.’ It’s possible.”

Agree about the Norm stuff. And as I mentioned in the OJ thread, it's a shame that Norm didn't live to see this. In a perfect world, OJ would have been dead long ago, and Norm would still be with us today. And fuck Ohlmeyer

Gosling didn’t make it through a sketch without breaking, it was funny at first but it was annoying by the end.
2 weeks without a Please Don’t Destroy short, Lorne but have even noticed how bad they’ve been recently.

Yeah, but it was all worth it when Heidi Gardner turned around and just lost her shit at Mikey Day as Butthead. I'm wondering if he pulled a "Farley" and played it up in the actual performance compared to rehearsals because it sure looked like she had not seen the costume till she turned around.

I don't think Fallon ever broke as much as Gosling in this episode.
The Papyrus 2 Avatar font sketch online exclusive was ok and it had Kyle Mooney in it.
I think maybe the first time SNL advertised a bonus clip at the end of the show.
The first song by Chris Stapleton "White Horse" was pretty good and I am not a country fan.
Chloe Fineman as Erin Brockovich

Of course they would do another alien abduction sketch, because on SNL when something works once they beat it do death.

Hearing a lot of people saying on twitter saying the beavis and butthead sketch was the funniest in ______ (months/years). Dont mean to be a stick in the mud but it was just ok to me. It looked like them which was funny but them breaking did little for me.

I don't follow sports either but even I know who she is, she's been all over the news for quite awhile now. Not sure if he's joking about Longfellow.

Nice to have Colleen back. That's one recurring sketch that never gets old. Too bad Squirm didn't have more to do in it.
I'm guessing that Caitlin Clark was sprung on Che. Probably payback for that civil rights activist they had on torment Colin earlier.
One of the stronger episodes in recent memory. Even the musical guest wasn't awful and I don't even like country music.

I dont have regular tv/ cable but do have the internet. Didnt know who she was until
last night. I probably heard her name once or twice as one of the cohosts of one of the daily news shows I watch also hosts a weekly sports show and they ask her what the sports show is covering once a day on the news program and she gives a 30 second rundown but Im never paying attention when she does as I dont follow sports at all.
Did watch 10 minutes of highlights of Clark last night though after SNL. Very impressive.
