Blame internet trolls for probably bashing her looks or her for not saying no to plastic surgery and other body procedures?

When a woman becomes famous as a teenager, and then super famous at 21, the pressures on her to maintain her youthful appearance are enormous. I don't think it is a sign of particular weakness that she would let that pressure affect her.

Even though Grande was relying on playback in her first performance, we know for sure her mic was on. And she's still awfully easy on the eyes.

Haven't thought much of the show, but I liked the Moulin Rouge sketch just cuz it was silly, and I love that movie.

I thought it was an decent episode up until the last 2 sketches and Brolin was great.

Lisa from Temecula is like one of Kristen Wiig’s characters that was never really funny that they keep going back to.

I can’t remember the last update that didn’t have anyone beside Colin and Che.

Must be nice to be able to call up your wife to do a skit, must less the cold open.

She needed to crank up the desperate crazy to come close to nailing that imitation.

Was this the first time Bowen Yang broke or cracked up?

Maybe nobody else liked it but the sandwich guy near the end was funny.

It's like Debbie Downer, where they seem to be blind to what was actually funny about the first time the character appeared, and so they can never replicate that, but they keep dragging Lisa back out to be unfunny. I wonder how many more times they will try the sketch before Lorne comes to his senses, or are they just so fucking desperate to return to era of recurring characters?

I think you are off target about what's "nice" for Jost about his marital situation.

I'm actually surprised they didn't revive the Lisa from Temecula sketch when Olivia Rodrigo was MG last year, since Ms. Rodrigo actually IS from Temecula. Since I don't think that's the last time she'll be on the show (I see a host/MG gig in her future), I think we'll be seeing Lisa at least one more time.

And yes, Bowen Yang has broke character multiple times, specifically in the first Lisa sketch.

Horrible episode. The monologue was cringey but so were most of the skits. I can't believe they spent all that time and money on production value for the shrimp tower one that went nowhere and didn't contain a single laugh. I kept waiting for a punch line that never came. How can they go through filming something like that with all those 'comedy geniuses' involved and end up with such a turd.

I didn't watch SOTU so I had to google what the deal was with Biden and MTG. I think Biden's actual reaction to seeing MTG was funnier than the over the top one SNL did. Same for ScarJo. I guess blame it on Daylight Savings?

People pleaser support group sketch had some deep cuts for me.

The bit with the tea cup during the SOTU response was the best part of the night.

I like her way better as a brunette, but other than that it just looks like she got really skinny. Did she really have "procedures" done?

Nothing changed with the clocks until hours after the show was done -- so how could the show, crew, etc have been affected?

They lost an hour for their post-show tradition of partying and club crawling until 5am.

At this point, I think it has just become hard to parody our current reality.

This was a terrible episode.
