I'd guess money, but the X-Men did start as teens.

As did Spider-Man. I'm not sure that there's really a trend.

Well Wolverine was a grown man and he was the focal point of the entire series.

Not sure what to expect from the preview, but it should be great to finally get an idea of the level of action the movie will have.

But facebook? Is Fox that cheap?

Here's the trailer link as it's a private video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UrbHy...layer_embedded

Kind of weak; some good images but still the lack of complete cgi in some cases is funny.

I like much of what I see, but I'm not yet 100% sold, though.

Re: X-Men: First Class (Vaughn, 2011)

It looks better than I expected, but that's pretty easy to do with so little footage and tying back in to X1 imagery (were there any X2 scenes?).

Yeah....I'm digging it. Fassbender looks really good in this.

I'm excited. This looks more like X-Men and X2 than the other sequels, and Fassbender is an awesome choice for Magneto.

It doesn't look like it'll be overblown with action (A good thing)

But Beast sure is one ugly mofo in this.

It looks... okay. Honestly, the trailer didn't do that much for me. I will (of course) still be seeing this opening night. I like Vaughn's films so that's probably a good indication that I will at least enjoy it.

Re: X-Men: First Class (Vaughn, 2011)

Why are they working so hard to maintain continuity with the other X films when the comics themselves routinely ignore continuity?

Looks better than I expected, but after Wolverine my expectations for this franchise were basically zero.

And when they're seemingly making up their own new continuity anyway?

Movie looks good, but in terms of character use and story/continuity choices for me it'll end up no different than X3 or Origins: Wolverine anyway.

Re: X-Men: First Class (Vaughn, 2011)

Well, consider me surprised but I liked that. I still don't like McAvoy (his face annoys me), but I think Fassbender looks awesome. I thought the tone was good, but some of the mutants look a bit too much like some fresh-faced fucks on the CW.

Re: X-Men: First Class (Vaughn, 2011)

This was discussed before, but the movie continuity itself isn't really that screwed up, and its nice to have in my opinion. I think it's better then a quick reboot like Spider-man.

The trailer was ok, but flashing through a bunch of mutants that people won't recognize probably doesn't do much
