I'm sure they'll do that after they get people to buy the five Craig movie set.

But if you didn't pick up either, that's a nice one to get.

The four movie set was a no brainer at the original sales pricing at release...plus getting two sets of digital codes and a separate case and art for the Blu Rays made it really easy to offset the cost. I already picked up No Time to Die but went ahead and bought the complete digital set during a sale so I'm not really inclined to play MGM's release games until they release the entire series on UHD.

Target is listing The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance as getting an Ultra HD release on April 12th. I'm not getting any Google hits for that UPC code, so...maybe?

Re: UHD release announcements

Shout has updated the extras that will be part of their Alligator UHD release, and the one that caught my eye and had me going wait...what, was this one:

NEW Gator Guts, The Great River, And Bob – An Interview With Production Assistant, Now Famous Actor/Director/Producer, Bryan Cranston

I am still confused, are they interviewing him because he can contribute some stories to what it may have been like for the crew who worked on the film due to his experience in the past working on cult films, or is he just a big fan of the film, or actually was part of the crew for this movie?

It looks like we get a handful of existing interviews and commentaries (Robert Forster passed away, so obviously those are carried over from the DVD release), and I like that we get a teaser and regular trailer for this film. They marked it as new; interviews with Lewis Teague and John Sayles, so those will be fun to listen too.

He was a P.A. on the movie, judging from what you quoted.

Re: UHD release announcements

I figured as much…it just feels so random and odd to find out the dad on Malcolm in the Middle was associated with one of my favorite films. Can you tell I am pretty much counting down the days to when the movie is released, lol.

Re: UHD release announcements

I’ll get that Craig Bond set eventually. The problem point isn’t too bad at $20 per film, but I can wait for it to go lower.

Re: UHD release announcements

I don't get it why the Goodfellas 4k is so hard to find unless there is a new transfer or print coming soon.

I see a UK version only.

The Departed is not available on 4K?

When will it come out?

It looks like they ran out of stock a couple months ago. I don't think it's going OOP though. They probably just need to do another pressing, but maybe there are delays because of supply chain issues/replication capacity/shipping.

Same thing happened to me. Then it came back in stock and I snagged it up for $14.99. This was back April 2020. Guess I got lucky. I still haven't opened it, came with the slip cover too.

Goodfellas still comes back in stock at Amazon occasionally, albeit for $37.99. I had it in my cart for months (out of stock) and just ordered it a few weeks ago when I finally saw it available, sold direct by Amazon.com. The stock didn't last long though.

Re: UHD release announcements

Some wannabe Twitter handle called GeekGab (“CEO of home entertainment scoops”) posted that Galaxy Quest is coming later this year. What caught my attention was this cover. Would be funny as hell if they used it. Artwork does show TBD.

I watched Robert Meyer Burnett's physical media show on YouTube today and Hunt was on it and addressed it as he tweeted above. He says it's "unlikely" but he's not ruling it out possibly coming this year.

I understand the cynicism. GeekGab is not exactly a known and reputable source for home media news.
