KL Studio Classics just announced John Frankenheimer’s The Train. Newly remastered; Dolby Vision.

It looks like Sony is re-releasing Coppola’s Dracula for the 30th anniversary. Didn’t bother putting up artwork since it’s pretty much the same. Only noticeable difference is that it will now have Dolby Vision - and the video for Anne Lennox’s song.

I believe this also includes the legacy 5.1 and 2.0 soundtracks as well as the theatrical burnt in subtitles that were missing from the previous disc.

Yep. This edition, or what's being sourced for the 4K disc, is what has been projected at the Geffen Sphere Theater at the Academy Museum in Los Angeles. They showed it last October there but I wasn't able to attend.

Come to think of it, I believe Coppola's Dracula was one of my first Superbit DVDs.

Didn't know where to put this but GameFly has 4K discs for sale (used) and for rent. I scored The Last Duel for $9.49 used the other day and restarted my subscription. How's their shipping turnaround? I'm with 3dblurayrental right now, but they can be kinda slow.

One of the earliest UHD releases and the transfer wasn't jaw-dropping. I'm not sure a simple Dolby Vision pass will correct some of its deficiencies.

I got my first disc yesterday and second disc today. They were shipped from the Pittsburgh warehouse on Monday via First Class mail and I'm in L.A.. They also have a warehouse here in Long Beach, as well.

I got both titles that I requested with no issues.

I tend to wait on reviews in case there are disc issues needing a replacement.

Lotsa pre-announcements from several different retailers (including Target and Bullmoose):

Shout! Factory is releasing Platoon and Old Henry.
Paramount has Crawl and a double feature of War of the Worlds (1953) and When Worlds Collide (!!!).

UK release of Casablanca for November. It’s assumed US announcement won’t be far behind.

Bullmoose is listing Army of Darkness for 9/27.

That should be an interesting remaster. It’s never looked really great on any past release. I should know, I think I’ve bought them all, and I’ll buy the 4k one as well.
