Re: UHD release announcements
Pleasantly surprised to see the breadth of UHD releases in that announcement. Triangle of Sadness is not one I would've expected. I'd have been more excited about The Seventh Seal if I hadn't already imported the BFI release.

Re: UHD release announcements
Unless the supplements are different, I'd stick with the BFI release. It was encoded by Fidelity in Motion. The BFI also has Dolby Vision and the CC looks to only have 4K SDR.

Copies from the Walt Disney thread. To see the picture you'll have to look at post #2 as I was unable to get the quote to include the pic on mobile chrome. https://forum.dvdtalk.com/hd-talk/65...l#post14226887
So, the big news is that Cinderella is confirmed to be coming to 4K on March 28, because a solicitation for it has appeared in the Disney Movie Club catalog: This is the first pre-1989 Disney animated movie to be released on 4K. It's being released as part of the "Disney 100" year-long celebration, so hopefully that means additional animated classics will be coming to 4K throughout the rest of the year. The Disney Movie Club exclusive version includes a DVD disc. It's likely that there will be a general retail release of it too, which would omit the DVD disc, but that hasn't been confirmed yet. The extras on it are identical to the previous Blu-ray release. It does come with a collectible lithograph (may be exclusive to the DMC version).

Re: UHD release announcements
Looks like a stacked set. I was awaiting a preorder for a while, now that it’s here I’ll probably wait for reviews. I’d like the Dolby vision, but it’s missing that Friedkin/Hooper interview.
Unless that hdr upgrade is that much better, I’ll stick with the dark sky. At least then I can use my better bluray player for the special features.

Re: UHD release announcements
The Second Sight edition is their own restoration and is being worked on by David M. for Fidelity In Motion -- he and that company are the best when it comes to encoding and compression. I have the Turbine edition already, but will be getting the SS one. I'm passing on the Dark Sky edition.
