So, the big news is that Cinderella is confirmed to be coming to 4K on March 28, because a solicitation for it has appeared in the Disney Movie Club catalog:



This is the first pre-1989 Disney animated movie to be released on 4K. It's being released as part of the "Disney 100" year-long celebration, so hopefully that means additional animated classics will be coming to 4K throughout the rest of the year.

The Disney Movie Club exclusive version includes a DVD disc. It's likely that there will be a general retail release of it too, which would omit the DVD disc, but that hasn't been confirmed yet. The extras on it are identical to the previous Blu-ray release. It does come with a collectible lithograph (may be exclusive to the DMC version).

A couple pieces of news.

First of all, Strange World's 4K release is going to be retailer exclusive. It will only be available at Best Buy as a steelbook, or at Disney Movie Club in standard packaging.

Secondly, Disney is doing a series of 4K reissues (same discs/content as before) at Best Buy with new Disney 100 steelbooks. I listed the animated classics above. They're also doing Star Wars and Pixar:
Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi on 5/2/23
Cars, Toy Story, Coco on 6/6/23

This is a just a repackaged line of Blu-ray + DVD + Digital, with exclusive Disney 100 slipcovers over the most recent Blu-ray release of each title. These are also available on Disney Movie Club a few weeks prior to their general retail release.
