Really nice looking set from the unboxing videos I’ve watched. My one small nitpick regarding the packaging is I wish the reversible artwork for A New Beginning would have been the VHS artwork. It’s got a reversible cover, but it’s an alternate take of the theatrical poster. To me the VHS artwork is memorable for that particular version (even if it’s not accurate to the mask in the film).

I ordered this from DeepDiscount. Which means I'm sure to be the last here to receive it.

That’s fucking sweet looking. Can’t wait to dig into next weekend! I want to get at least through the 3D third. Curious how it looks. Any early reviews?

I should have clarified that they seem to be inspecting all the sets they got in, then sending out the mint copies to all of their customers who ordered.

Reading the questions & comments in the Instagram post that I mentioned, they said they aren't sure what they are going to do yet with the damaged copies. Deciding on if they will be sent back or they sell them scratch/dent.

They should send them back to Shout and let them eat the losses. It's completely unacceptable for them to send expensive, deluxe sets like this to retailers in a way that allows them to be damaged during shipping.

I mean the packaging used for shipping doesn’t exactly look bad or like there wasn’t any care put into it. Looks like a fairly sturdy cardboard box that has a spot specifically to hold the set in place and the poster tube above. I’d blame the delivery companies more.

If I had to guess, I don't think DiabolikDVD (nor any other retailer) were sent these sets in the packaging that everyone who ordered from Shout did.

Those who ordered from Shout got a poster and so this special packaging for shipping houses the poster tube/poster as well.

Probably just shipped them in normal bulk boxes to retailers.

That’s true I guess. Didn’t really think about sets not coming from Shout directly.

Got my box set today. Had to get rid of a few discs to clear some shelf space for it. Looks cool on the shelf with the Halloween set nearby. Now if only we can get a Scream Factory box set of the A Nightmare on Elm Street franchise. It would be cool to have the big three slasher icons represented by nice sets. For now two out of three isn’t bad.

Mine just got here, opened and checked it out but don't know when I'll have time to watch it, will watch them in order but want to see part 3 in 3D sooner rather than later. Will probably keep the posters in the packaging and see what they're worth in a few years.

Fuck!!! The UPS guy was just in front of my house. The UPS tracker said it's almost here.

He fucking drove off without dropping it off. WTF????? Now he's like a mile away. The UPS tracker still says it's been undelivered. I don't get what happened.

That same thing has happened to me before. I got it the next day. I hope that’s not the case for you.

How long is case length wise? Thinking of putting next to Halloween, but don’t want it too big in that spot. Would it look nice here?

UPS took my package back to the UPS station and will redeliver it another day.

WTF? The mother fucker driver was literally parked in front of my house. I don't get it. Then he just drove off and didn't drop off anything. Could he not find the package in his truck, or was he running late? Ugh, so annoying.

honestly, if I saw him and knew he had the package, I would have gone out and got. Especially for this. The more handling the worse. I’ve gotten them to find packages they couldn’t find for me before. They take a “second” look...

The set it bigger than the Halloween set. I was a bit surprised as it’s only sixteen discs and the Halloween set is fifteen, but then I realized that the Friday the 13th set has three more individual cases since the set has two more films in their own cases plus a dedicated separate bonus disc in its own case.

Based on Mike86’s post a few pages back, it looks to be the same size as the Halloween set, or a little larger.

Or the post right above yours where I answered Oldboy’s question without quoting him. Slightly larger than the Halloween set. Like I say it has three more cases as well as the booklet.

UPS has done that to me frequently. No real delivery attempt made, instead I receive a tag on my door saying they missed me. From there, it ends up staying on the truck another day before being dropped at a UPS Access Point. I dread when I get shipping notifications involving UPS.
Luckily for me, in this case, today was my day off so I used their site to follow the delivery and kept tabs on it until I saw the truck pull up. I made sure to head out to the porch to ensure that I was getting this package today. It really is a beautiful set and the packaging for the poster and lithograph was perfect.

I dread any time that Amazon lets UPS handle the delivery. During recent months the site would show an item out for delivery and I wouldn't get it until a day or two later. This happened several times. Sometimes I'd see a note that there was some obstruction denying them access to my driveway (which was always false).
