I got my shipping notice from Amazon and it said it should arrive between October 22-27th.

Mine said Oct 15. Yay!

Just FYI, I chatted with customer service with Amazon there and asked them about the situation. They told me that if the order was placed before the disclaimer came up about the mailing issue, then it will still be mailed out as originally ordered.

Got my email for October 15th arrival.

Hopefully Shout sends the set out soon. The last email they said they were sending it out by UPS to make sure people who ordered directly would have their copies by October 13th.

My packages from them always come UPS, so that’s good...

Any time I’ve ordered from Shout directly they ship by USPS. I was guessing they used UPS on this since it’ll be a bigger package with the box set itself plus the poster and lithograph.

I hate the Postal Service frankly. Especially my neighborhood since new people and less hours. We’re lucky if we get 4 of 6 days of service and Amazon keeps shipping to wrong hub despite the incorrect hub telling them to switch, so I don’t know. Sometimes I don’t know if expected day or 2 days later. But, I did find out that you can see the actual mail you have coming or not coming on certain day with USPS. This informed delivery is amazing. Just wish notified when actually delivered. How can they have pictures of individual mail pieces or packages, but can’t tell you when delivered? Either way, it’s pretty cool.

Count me in as another Talker who is super excited for this set! I can’t wait to run through the series with Matt Gourley and Paul Rust again using these new versions of the movies.

Part of me loves this set and wants it SO bad. But the other part of me hasn’t spent money on a blu-ray in months and has a F13 DVD boxset sitting on my shelf virtually untouched for years.

If you're not watching your physical media, then maybe you shouldn't spend the $150+ on this.

It’s still tempting but I think that’s my old collector mentality coming out. I’m like a recovering alcoholic who strolls by liquor stores just to see the bottles on the shelves.

Better to buy it now than wait two years and spend $250 when the set is completely out of print.

he doesn’t seem to need it. Doesn’t bother him that this will be US set of the year, but that’s cool. Honestly, if it weren’t for the extended cuts and real 3D, even though probably not the best, makes it worth it to me. Other than that, I’d rather stream too. I have them all digital, but we’ll see how this massive set turns out.

I don't understand why Amazon can't get these in our hands on release day. Especially if you have Prime. Best Buy ships their stuff to get to you on release day or before if you pre-ordered.

I feel like it’s going to be the definitive box set of these films for a long time honestly. Paramount might release some of the films on 4K eventually, but I doubt they’ll do them all.

You also know with this being done under the Scream Factory label that a lot of love is going into it. Probably more than even the previous WB tin set. Also if it’s like the Halloween set it likely will increase in price once it’s out of print.

You're also supporting a small label who puts a lot of work into these releases. Without people willing to pay for these, Shout, Arrow and such would go out of business. But, it's entirely at someone's discretion how much money they feel comfortable spending.

Got my shipping estimate from amazon.ca. October 24th- November 4th. It’s bummer I won’t be able to hook up my 4k tv that I’ll be purchasing in a few weeks. I need to watch part 3 in 3D.
