Hope they do as good a job as they can transfer-wise with these two.

Very cool. I've had the DVD on my want-list forever but never got around to picking it up.

**EXCLUSIVE NEW KEY ART REVEAL!!**
Artist Nathan Thomas Milliner (who designed our key art for The Burning, Halloween III and several others) wows us again with his werewolf-filled and ferocious interpretation of 1981's THE HOWLING which is coming soon to DVD & Blu-ray this Summer. We even showed this to Director Joe Dante who said "Wow! Cool! I'd go see that picture!"
More details on THE HOWLING (specific release date, etc.) will be coming soon in March. Stay tuned!

I love the fake vintage cover art that they put on these releases.

Shout are apparently finally releasing The Town the Dreaded Sundown. I suppose it's too much to hope that proper widescreen versions of The Legend of Boggy Creek and Creature from the Black Lake will follow

I'm probably the only one, but I'd love a Special Edition of Howling II: Your Sister Is A Werewolf. I'd love a documentary or commentary with Philippe Mora explaining just WTF they were attempting.
----------
Also, even though it's only being released on DVD, I might as well post in this thread that Shout is releasing the long OOP Swimming to Cambodia (5/28/13).

Some release date news...
***THE HOWLING, NINJA III and DEAD SOULS Release Date News**
Scream Factory is proud to present a wild slate of mayhem in June that includes werewolves, haunted houses and even ninja possession!
Think of a mix between The Exorcist, Flashdance and Enter the Ninja and you'll get the idea behind the 1984 quasi-horror exploitation hit, NINJA III: THE DOMINATION. Releasing on 6/11 on a DVD & Blu-ray combo pack, this is the first time ever this crowd-pleasing exercise in the bizarre has been released on either format and in anamorphic widescreen from a new transfer. Extras are still in development to be announced at a later date.
Next up is Director Joe Dante's classic THE HOWLING. Known fondly for its humorous script, outstanding Rob Bottin effects and Dee Wallace (Cujo), this will release on 6/18 as a Collector's Edition on either DVD or Blu-ray. (Important to note that this will mark the first time the film has been on the Blu-ray format in the U.S.) New key art plus the iconic original theatrical poster art on the reverse side plus extras (which are still in development but you can pretty much expect that all of the extras that were on the prior MGM DVD release will be ported over).
Finally, we welcome our first (of more to come) contemporary titles to the Scream "family" with Chiller's DEAD SOULS. Arriving on DVD and Blu-ray on 6/25, this unrated 2012-production of paranormal terror is directed by Colin Theys (Steve Niles’ Remains) and stars Jesse James (The Amityville Horror, The Flyboys), Bill Moseley (Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, The Devil's Rejects, House of 1,000 Corpses) and Magda Apanowicz (The Butterfly Effect). It contains seven more minutes of footage not seen in it’s recent run on Chiller TV and bonus features will include an audio Commentary, bloopers, tour of the set and TV spots.
