Anthony Perkins tweeted that he did new commentaries for both of them.

In case someone's reading this and doesn't get the joke, Perkins died more than twenty years ago, so don't get your hopes up.

I'm kind of surprised the Psycho sequels aren't just being released as a double-feature.

'Eve of Destruction' Blu-ray Dated

The 1991 sci-fi thriller starring Gregory Hines is bound for Blu-ray in November 19.

Day 1, guilty pleasure for me.

I doubt it since it has an 8 digit sku number which I believe means it will be sold online only.

No. The only Scream titles I've seen in a store were Halloween II and Halloween III at Target. And those were DVDs, not blu-rays.

I've seen folks over at Blu-Ray.com Forums report 'The Fog' showing up at their BBs, but it's really YMMV.

I've seen most of the Scream Factory blu-rays in store at Fry's. With slipcovers if you're into that.

re: The One and Only Shout! Studios (and Scream Factory!) Blu-ray Thread

I just got a strange shipping notice from Amazon for Scream's All Night Horror Marathon vol 1 (with Schizoid). Very strange considering a)Scream lost rights to Schizoid and replaced it with What's the Matter with Helen and b)Street date was Oct 1, now delayed until Oct 8 with said replacement

Scheduled to arrive on Thurs. Will keep you posted.

I didn't see it at Best Buy, but I did find a single copy at MovieStop. Just $1 more than Amazon's price at the moment, so I picked it up.

I really enjoy the first 2 films even though many call them shit. My question is, is it worth 60 bucks? Since this is Shout Factory, is it likely at all the the price will ever drop or will they stay high like the rest of Shout's releases like this?

I love that they used the original poster art.

There's a few Shout/Scream titles I want, but I'll be damned if I'm going to pay the premium prices for them. I can't help but think they saw the way Fright Night and other TT horror titles sold and thought "hey, who needs low prices?" When new releases cost less than catalog, day and date, something's wrong.

Exactly. A fully-restored Criterion edition of Spartacus should cost less than The Incredible Burt Wonderstone. Period. No doubt about it. Spot on.

Comparing Spartacus to Body Bag is probably not what he meant in a Shout thread...

The film print of Spartacus is degrading right now as we speak because it was shot on film. It's 50 years old, and because of it you need to go frame by frame and clean up the picture and audio just to release it to today's standards. More time in restoration and a niche market merits the higher price tag. Burt wonderstone was shot digital and was a recent large release. It does not take much to burn a blu ray of that film, so I don't see your point. Sure, I would love to buy a criterion blu ray for 10 bucks like I could for burt wonderstone any time I want, but I understand why I can't.
