The One and Only Shout! Studios (and Scream Factory!) Blu-ray Thread
via dvddrive-in.com:
In April, Shout! Factory will commence a new series of DVD releases under the banner, “Roger Corman’s Cult Classics”, presenting classic titles from the New World Pictures film library. The first of these releases will be Barbara Peters' HUMANOIDS FROM THE DEEP (April 13), a two-disc special edition of Joe Dante’s PIRANHA (April 6) and a double feature of UP FROM THE DEPTHS/DEMON OF PARADISE (April 13). All titles will be presented with new anamorphic transfers, and PIRANHA will also be available on Blu-ray disc. We’ll post more details as they come in, but 2010 looks to be a great year for Shout! Factory.

Not sure how much these titles will benefit from the format. I'm just happy to finally be able to get Humanoids from the Deep for a reasonable price! More campy schlock in glorious HD!! Bring it on .....

The first titles to be made available on Blu-ray from Roger Corman's Cult Classics presented by Shout! Factory are 'Piranha: Special Edition' (see blu-ray.com, December 31, 2009) and the 1979 classic 'Rock 'N' Roll High School'. Other Corman classics slated for 2010 release include 'Death Race 2000', 'Warlords of the 21st Century', 'Deathsport', 'Forbidden World' and 'Galaxy of Terror', although not all of them may be released in high definition.

re: The One and Only Shout! Factory Blu-ray Thread
I got tickets last night to go to an advance screening here in L.A. of Piranah 3D tonight.
should be intresting.
The trailer looks like they did a great job in captureing some of what made piranaha such a fun movie.
And how cool is it to have Richard Dryfus in this? the original piranah was an homage to jaws so what could be even more fun that to have one of the last surviving star of Jaws in this new piranah film.
I will be sure to let you know what i think

hmmm wow why didnt i think of that, oh wait I DID!
actually i was going to post my thoughts about it, in the disney animated thread.
anyways you do realize of course the primary reason why this is being released on bluray when it is, is because of the 3D remake being released in theatres around the same time right?

seriously though I wouldnt have even brought up i got tickets to see it tonight, if two other people in here allready hadnt mentioned the remake
