Yes, I made a note of this in my review which was published on Sunday.

Earlier in the year the whole Rushmore "Director's Cut" issue pissed me off--with not a single reviewer bothering to investigate or report if the cut was different. There was not a single comment across the board.
Anyway back to LTOC: Can you verify if the dropped dialogue has been fixed from the 2000 DVD? There were two missing lines of dialogue during the stoning of Mary Magdeline scene.
Memory can be a fuzzy thing so take this with a grain of salt: The first time I saw the film was in 1996 on the American VHS and I do not remember any blurring or censoring to be present on that. Now that was a long time ago, but the blurring really calls attention to itself, if it were there I think I would have noticed. When I saw the DVD in 2000 I immediately noticed it and I remember thinking "that's strange...I've never noticed that before."

every month I await Badlands and Weekend. I'd love for them to release some later day Godard, Numero Deux and Hail Mary would be nice. And some more Fassbinder since the bulk of the DVDs are now out of print from Fantoma and Wellspring. Lastly one day McCabe and Mrs. Miller will get a proper release, if there is a god.

Pardon if it's been mentioned recently, but I haven't kept up with this thread: Has there been any official announcement of a replacement program for either the Three Colors or the Carlos discs?
Thank you.
Thank you.

Both have replacement discs available at this point I think. Just email Jon Mulvaney.

What is the point of delaying a release announcement? How could they not know what they are releasing?

Also, if you look on Criterion's website, you can see that they have pulled the artwork for Inagaki's Samurai Trilogy.
Would make my month if thats announced on BD today.

Yay on Hitch and Chaplin. I like all of the covers except for the Shallow Grave one which looks like one of those Criterion parody covers.

Defiantly excited about the Gold Rush, mostly because it means City Lights is getting closer.
