Weak ending not withstanding, it's a fantastic film, one of the best westerns, and one of Hawks finest. Can't believe you've never seen it!

It has the kitchen sink, the bathroom sink, the toenail clippings from Sigourney Weaver's hairdresser, and it beams signals to the mothership, it's insane how much stuff it has. On that subject, I have the Legacy, Quadriology (That's not a word) and Anthology boxed sets, is there anything exclusive to any of them, or should I just sell off the old sets and keep the Blu?

This is from the DVDTalk review:

All of the documentary and supplemental features from the Quadrilogy have been ported over to the Anthology, though instead of each movie getting its own bonus disc, these have now been relegated to two different bonus discs--essentially, Disc 5 and Disc 6.
Wouldn't know about the Legacy set though.

So you all know there's a 50% off flash sale going on Criterion's site right now, yes?

I picked up Fantastic Mr. Fox, Tess, Rashomon, 12 Angry Men, and Seconds.

Yep, I think it better to wait for the B&N sale.

Who knows how many more B&N sales we'll have left. They're in trouble again.

God, the world is changing so fast, browsing the aisles may be a thing of the past, and all of those jobs will be gone.

By the time of the next B&N sale they'll have released more titles I want, so I figured it was worth breaking up the purchases between what's out now and what will be out in the next few months.

But Criterion is sending out 20 Golden Tickets randomly with today's orders, which give shirts and other things, but the grand prize of which is a virtual "spree" in the Criterion Closet.

They move the camera around and you choose whatever the fuck you want. Just like every other Criterion closet video that they have with directors and actors, except via webcam.

I got home from work a few hours after the flash sale started, and most of the more recent releases were already gone.

I managed to order a few though.

Did they say they were sold out or that they were on backorder? Tess said it was on backorder but it still let me purchase it. They even split up my order and didn't charge me shipping for the smaller portion.

It's a virtual tour of the Wes Anderson closet.

Backorder. The sale stated that it was for in stock items only.

I went ahead and gave it a try after seeing your post and it didn't work. So if you did get it for half off, than kudos.

Yeah, this is my order:

Tess was listed as backordered, and even though I chose send in one shipment, they split it off into a separate shipment for no extra shipping fee.

I'm assuming you mean PICNIC AT HANGING ROCK. I've never seen it, but I've always wanted to...probably be a blind buy for me.
