You must not have any stupid friends. One of my friend swears it was awful because he didnt understand it, yet he'll watch Transformers 2 every other day.

Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead - 9/10

This may very well be my favorite Troma movie. It was decently acted, witty and...out there. I loved it!

RoboCop - One of my favorite films of all-time. PQ is mediocre, but the best it's ever looked. Same story on AQ.

RoboCop 2 - It's bad, but fun in a cheesy B-movie kinda way. PQ much better than first film, ditto on AQ.

RoboCop 3 - I couldn't make it through this one. So terrible on so many levels. I truly feel for Dekker since he hasn't worked since bc of this turd. Naturally, PQ and AQ are best on this one.

Sat through The Twilight Saga: Eclipse with my wife, playing the audio commentary track with Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. It was actually fairly entertaining because it appeared they were both high or drunk the whole time. Didn't learn anything, other than that Pattinson seems to think the whole thing is ridiculous.

After that, we moved on to Superbad. That movie still cracks me up. I maintain it's a modern version of American Graffiti. Inferior, yes, but still a direct descendant of George Lucas's true masterpiece.

Resident Evil 2 Saw the fourth in the theater so I'm trying to catch up on the saga. I'm not really a horror movie kind of guy but the non-stop cartoon-ish action of these are right up my alley.

The Leopard - As this thread and forum continue to prove, people only collect Criterions here, nobody seems to watch them, so there is no point in me posting my thoughts on this.

I could be wrong, but it seems that the Criterion Challenge discussion thread in September was quite lively. If you just want to boast that you watch and don't just buy your Criterions, then you should direct such a remark to the "last HD DVD/Blu-ray you bought" thread.

I don't pay attention to the "challenge" threads, the idea of watching movies based on a schedule or as a challenge makes no sense to me. And believe me, I'm hardly boasting about watching films that nobody here seems to watch, just making an observation.

You came here just to note that you actually watch the movies instead of just buying them, then feel the need to deride the idea of participating in a challenge. You're not making observations; you're acting like a pompous, pretentious snob.

The Third Man

Great film. My only qualm is that Alida Valli plays her part to levels of near annoyance. Love Orson Wells in this.

But you've already made your point a couple times before. Honestly, if people want to spend their hundreds and sometimes thousands of dollars on Criterion BD's they won't watch, more power to them. I don't know why we should be even be spending our time mentioning it.

I didn't deride anything, only posted my lack of understanding, nor did I call anyone names.

Yeah, I saw that you were the other person. And I share your love of Paulette Goddard.

As soon as they showed the close-up of her with the knife in-between her teeth, I was blown away. They just don't make 'em like they used to.

He acts like that in almost every post, but that's why we love him. We do love him, right guys?
