My wife and I watched my HD-DVD of this a few weeks ago. I'd never seen it before. It turned into a game of "predict the next disaster movie cliche," and we had a lot of fun. But yeah, Brosnan and Hamilton were very watchable.
Last night: Planet of the Apes on BD. Very impressed with the transfer, and have always loved the movie. A treat from start to finish.

Just watched Stargate last night. Overall it looked awesome but there were a few dark shots that looked grainy. I think it was probably always like that but you just couldn't tell as much with old tube tvs. Little flaws stand out a lot more on my new plasma
But it was definitely worth $10
sound was great, video crisp & clear for the most part.
Batman Begins & Dark Knight both arrived with it, might do a double feature this weekend

Lost: Season One - Pilot (Part 1). It looked and sounded amazing. Definitely worth the upgrade. Absolutely. And as for the show itself, well, it's my favorite ever. I can't wait to dig into this set.

Tango and Cash sound was missing a little punch but the picture was fantastic.

Mad Men Season 1 - Great picture, fantastic show. It was a blind buy, and it is already one of my favorite first seasons in television history.

Last night: Shooter on HD-DVD. Must say these $4 discs are getting me into some movies I completely missed when they were released. This was a pleasant surprise, given that we had no expectations whatsoever. Fun, if politically confused and loosely plotted action movie with a very good video transfer and good sound. I live near and work in Philadelphia, so the extensive on-location scenes were particularly fun.

I just watched 27 Dresses. It was better than I expected it to be. I might actually keep this one. Sure... it's predictable. But it was a sweet movie and it was generally well made. I certainly enjoyed it.
Oh, and Kill Bill V. 2 is a masterpiece.

For me Paul Blart Mall Cop Saw this in the theater with my daughter. Glad we got in with free passes because not one I would pay for. This was a Blockbuster rental so it was a fun movie to watch again but not a keeper.

The Omen. Freakin' creepy film (I am of course referring to the original). Not great, but not bad either. I'm not sure if it's worth owning, but I'm glad I finally saw it.

Just watched Canadian flick ONE WEEK on blu-ray. The movie was pretty damn good, the disc looked OK... but I was surprised at how much I liked it.

Star Trek 4 Voyage Home A nice upgrade from my old DVD especially the sound however not a real stellar presentation. In a few of the dark scenes it looked fuzzy at the edges. That and I didn't remember all the cheesy lines.

Friday The 13th (09)
I guess I set my expectations low because I enjoyed this one alot. I really had a good time. Sure it felt like the death scenes were too quick, and Jason moved extremely quickly but overall I was quite impressed. I can see myself watching this one again quite soon.
Taken
I missed this in theaters and netflixed it. Liam Neeson was such a badass here. Again, no wasted scenes, seemed to fly by. I really enjoyed this as well. I have always been a fan of anything Besson has been associated with and this added to my belief that he knows how to involve himself with entertaining projects. What I liked best was things were simple yet very exciting.
All around two very quality, fun, and exciting films.
