Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2
However online coupons are generally designed for one use per account with the exception of the 5%, 7%, and 10% coupons currently posted on the first page of this thread. They are intended to be used multiple times and take a percentage off each eligible item.
The regular one item coupons are supposed to be one time use per account but currently there is a glitch allowing them to be used multiple times. The key is you have to sign out of your account after each purchase. Then add a item to your cart, apply the coupon, and sign into your account again while proceeding through the checkout process. The coupon should be applied again to the order. I figure eventually B&N will catch on and fix it since it is not supposed to work on multiple orders.

I believe the post was in reference to store coupons since I saw a similar question posted in the Criterion sale thread and it was about store coupons.

I believe the question was regarding in-store use. And there is no way for them to know if you've used a coupon multiple times in-store. As for online, as stated, there is a way to use each coupon as many times as you want.

Thanks! You can always place multiple orders to maximize the coupon savings instead of one large order if you are using the 15% or 20% coupons. However you need a membership for the 20% off code.

Thank You LASERMOVIES!! I was looking in the thread for the instructions but wasn't find it.
I missed the previous comment so I wrongly assumed it was about an online purchase, also I tried using it the 20% coupon at the store yesterday and was told I couldn't use it cause it can't be combined with other sales.

Sorry it sounds like you have a store employee that doesn't know what they are doing. The coupon should work fine with the Criterion or any other sales at the store. If you have a membership you should be able to use any of the coupons.

My apologies then. It was another user who asked about their POS system. It's actually what made me assume the question was about using store coupons as POS stands for Point-of-Sale which has always been a retail term. I don't usually associate it with online but maybe I should.

I thought I would post a reminder that today is the last day for several online and store coupons. Might want to use them before they are gone since it doesn't look promising there is going to be more coming before the end of the Criterion sale.

Thanks for the reminder too. Is it possible to use these at the last possible minute online to buy the 7/26 releases? Online coupon doesn't expire until 2:59am est. So I'm thinking at around 12:00 am est, I'll try to place an order for one of the 7/26 releases I've been eyeing.

I think you will be able to get some of the pre-orders before it expires if you try a little after 12 ET tonight.

I might make another run tonight - nothing really stands out to me but I figure I can always make a return later if a better coupon comes or if I change my mind.

When I was checking for information on new coupons for the coming week there was nothing showing up that would be useful for DVDs. Mostly book coupons. If you have a membership I would make use of the 20% coupon while you can.

The code (and trick) still works as I just placed two orders--Life During Wartime and High and Low--and used the 20% coupon each time.
Works for me since I learned today that the local BN started denying coupons on ship to home orders.

I just finished my orders, each one with the 20% off and using the Discover cashback bonus. I'm glad I got them all placed in time. Thanks as always, Lasermovies.

Good for you! I meant to do this but was too late due to indecision about which titles to get. I may try going into the store and using that $8 off coupon...

Only one store that I know of, would not accept the 20% off coupon for the Criterion movies. That was the B&N on 5th Ave and 46th St. in NYC. They said since the coupon says that it can't be combined with other offers, it could not be used with items marked 50% off. I said thank you and that I would go to another store, which I did. Never pays to argue or get angry as you most likely will not change their mind.
