At my Barnes and Noble they sold me the Complete Jean Vigo for the discounted price , I just had to pay for it before the sale ended. Hopefully they won't forget about the order or have any complications 0.0

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

I like to visit a B&N warehouse to see who is packaging the orders. I received 6 packages last night from B&N and found one of them contained the wrong item. It was supposed to contain the Misfits on blu-ray but instead I got Leverage Season 3. The packing slip had the correct information but the DVD was incorrect. This is the second time in about a week this has happened with one of my orders. Last week I got book with some pornographic comics instead of a blu-ray for Blow Out. If B&N is going to make a mistake with an order I wish it was for something I want, or is a lot more expensive than what I ordered.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

I think I would keep Leverage season 3 over the Misfits BD. They once sent me a bargain book worth about 2 cents instead of a Walt Disney Treasure that i ordered several years ago. At least they believed me. I was worried they would think I was trying to get another video free.

How exactly do those type of returns work? Do they just give you the item that was on the invoice or do they give you store credit/credit back to CC for the in store selling price of the wrong item?

I'd keep S3 of Leverage too.

B&N will send you a prepaid return label to return the wrong item and send out the correct item to replace it at no charge. So far I figure B&N.com has sent me the wrong item about 6 to 8 times over the years since I've ordered from them.

Usually it seems I get the short end of the deal when they make a mistake. I have been debating keeping the Leverage set and selling it since it's worth a little more than what I paid for the Misfits. I could always order another copy since the price is still the same. However I would have to pay a little more since I originally ordered it with the 20% coupon before it expired.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Ran across information for a 70% off coupon. I'm doubting few if even anyone sees one of these but thought I would post it to look at any future emails from B&N a little more carefully. Otherwise looks like later in the week might see some new 20% and 15% coupons.

70% Off One Item Coupon Details:

To qualify for offer: (i) you must have received an email communicating the offer directly from Barnes & Noble,

This coupon can only be redeemed by email recipient and is only valid once at BN.COM.

This coupon expires at 2:59 a.m. Eastern Time September 1, 2011.

The 70% discount will be applied to the most expensive eligible item in the order - not the entire purchase - and will be deducted after all other eligible discounts are applied.

I do get regular E-Mails from them. Let's see if I get this. That's one way to get LOTR Extended at a good price.

When I saw the possibility of 70% off that was the first item that popped into my head.

Hm, if I get that e-mail, I could get Carlos for 15 bucks instead of 50.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

A little sooner than I thought on the coupons. Also have 3 new member 20% online codes on the first page that are already active. The store coupons are good starting Thursday. Unfortunately the non-member coupon appears if it is going to be email only since it lacks a regular barcode.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Don't know where to put this. Hopefully it's ok to post here.

Heads-up if you have been using Discover cashback on bn.com through ShopDiscover. The cashback totals I am receiving reflect 10% of the pre-tax purchase price rather than 15% as promised. Also, for some purchases I'm not receiving any cashback emails at all (it's possible that cashback is still accruing for these purchases but the emails themselves are slipping through the cracks). I will be calling Discover (and B&N if necessary) about this when I get a chance in the next couple of days.

Bottom line: If you use ShopDiscover on bn.com, check that you're getting 15% cashback rather than 10%.

Thanks for the great coupons, Laser!

illennium, unlike others here I can't get anything to post at Discovercard (note I've used GCs, not Disc, to pay).

Yes, you need to use your Discover card to accrue cashback (it's in the terms and conditions).

I recently got a Discover card and am not getting much cashback with any B&N purchases. Initially I received a few emails saying I earned cashback and then they stopped. I have no idea if I'm getting any credit for purchases. When I check my account online it still says I've earned zero cashback. I guess they don't post casback earned until your monthly statement is posted online?

^ I get those e-mails 3-4 days after my purchases. Any longer, and there may be a problem. Also remember, there is a list of excluded items/categories which do not qualify for cashback.

DVD/blu-rays are excluded? That's mainly all I purchased with the card through their website.
