Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Okay I purchased a new membership and reordered 3 out of 4 titles from my earlier order. This time I was able to use the 15% coupon instead of the 10% coupon since I can get free shipping with one title now. Using the web site glitch discussed in the Criterion sale thread I used the 15% code 3 times. Also should pick up 15% extra with Discover and little more with gift card savings. Called my local store and they said I could bring the other order in for credit to use at their store. If I can keep the refund off my Discover card I have over $6 extra in Discover cashback pending.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

I just went to ShopDiscover to buy some giftcards at a 15% discount. Before being taken to the B&N site, the following disclaimer came up:
Offer not valid toward the purchase of NOOK, NOOK Warranty, Gift Certificates, Barnes & Noble Gift Cards, Barnes & Noble Memberships, Barnes & Noble University Premier Courses, used books, out of print books, or PC & Video Games
Dang.

I'll see if my membership slips through. I purchased a Criterion along with the membership when going through Discover. Since I used a $25 GC I got for 15% off earlier I already feel like I saved something on the membership. If it doesn't work out I could also cancel the membership in 30 days.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

I couldn't help myself and placed a few more orders. There are some Criterions I want that aren't available in any store within 30 miles so I went ahead and ordered those with the coupon via the Shopdiscover link.

Buy from B&N, get cash back from Discover. Convert cash back into B&N gift cards. Repeat.

If a B&N member were so inclined he or she might try using those online membership purchase/renewal codes again.

Here you go as predicted. Also they included some regular online coupon codes that are already active and I have added to the first page.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Big thanks, Laser! I was of course hoping for a coupon that had something off the entire order, but let's hope that this latest 20% off coupon will allow us the same multiple use as the previous 15% off.

I just signed up for the trial membership. Can someone remind me where I need to go in my account when it comes time to cancel the membership? Thanks

In two months you'll be automatically billed for a yearly membership unless you cancel bfore then.

Why are people fretting about their free trial memberships not working in store? There shouldn't be any problem if you have a member number - they won't know if you're on a trial or subscription, will they?

In the past I've had a trial membership and used coupons no problem.

Yes, I know. That's why I was asking where I go to cancel it on the website.

I've done it before, but I can't seem to find it now.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

So any thoughts on whether the new 20% and 15% coupons can be used in the same transaction, or multiple times? And can they be stacked with the $5 off $50 coupon?

I would say that would be a huge YMMV. It says in the fine print "may not be combined with any other coupon or promotional discount." So, you might be get some salespeople willing to do it, but they probably shouldn't be.

Well, that would be referring to stacking coupons on one title. You probably would be able to do separate transactions to use multiple coupons for different discs, though they may not let you use the same one over and over. Again, that will really depend on your store or the person at the register when you check out, I would imagine.

The scenario I actually had in mind was using the 20% coupon, 15% coupon and $5 Off $50 coupons on a purchase that included three $39.99 (retail) BDs. Seems like it should be okay, but mine is not to reason why.
Anyone try this yet?

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Today I used 2 $8 coupons, 1 20%, and 1 $5 coupon on each of 2 in-store orders. All 4 of the items on which the $8 coupon was used were over $40 before the 50% discount, but only one was $40 after the discounts.

The 10% off entire order code: J3M9D8K has expired. Any inkling as to whether a new code will be issued to replace this one?

That was the AAA code so I logged into my AAA account and went to B&N via the link but it's still trying the old code. I'll look again for a new code tomorrow.

I still think it would be a big YMMV because you would be having to combine coupons in order to use the $5 off $50. Certainly worth a try, though. All stores and employees seem to be different.

I sort of tried doing this today at one B&N store I visited. I was attempting to use a 15%, 20%, $8, and the $5/50 on one transaction. I got shot down stacking the $5/50 on my purchase. I had luck at this particular store with pasts Criterion sales doing this but not today. The store clerk who was helping me called the manager to handle it and she would not do it. She did allow me to use the $8 coupon on a $30 (sale price) Eclispe Series Criterion, so I was happy I could get that without too much arguing.

Thanks! I updated the first page with the new coupon. I have been looking for 2 days for AAA to add the new coupon since the last one expired on Monday. I didn't have any time this morning to check again. The new coupon is valid until August 2.

Does their POS system allow you to use the same coupon on multiple transactions, or does it limit you to one per membership?

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Can the online non-member 15% off one item code be used in addition to the 10% off entire order code?

I applied the 15% off code K4D8U4X and it worked then tried the 10% off code R8R8E3Y and it didn't take.

If it is allowable, has anyone tried this online and had it work?
