The b2g1 sale will not work with the Criterion sale.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

I'm glad the AAA code worked. 7 Blu-rays ordered. With that and the 10% back from Discover I don't feel so bad about the loss of the $5 coupon. In a way, this is better. I don't have to spend the 40 mile round trip going to 2 stores multiple times looking for the titles I want. I will try to get a few sets with the $8 coupon in store at some point.

How do you manage to to ensure that you use both? Each one you have to link from their website to qualify for the discount.

Update: NVM, i think I got it. Login with AAA first, then Discover. The AAA coupon will stick.

You are no longer required to link from the AAA site to get the discount; you just have to enter the code. And the code works for everyone. So I just link from Discover and enter the AAA code.

The 10% AAA coupon code is on the first page of this thread.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

I must be blind. I looked twice and didn't see the code in the OP. After I got the code from AAA site link, I tried to enter it manually and it would not stick.

Doesn't matter now. I finally got it to work and ordered 11 titles for $211 after tax and before Discover cash back. Let's see how this works out.

Thanks for the Discover tip!

I don't see any AAA code on page 1. Searching that page with "AAA" finds nothing. I think it was removed.

If it's a not a unique code, would certainly appreciate if someone would post it. TIA.

I posted it but it shouldn't have been too hard to figure out. There are only 4 or 5 active coupons and only one gets you 10% off your entire order.

I don't label or call it the AAA code on the first page since it is not important and most likely would confuse everyone that uses it. The coupon code works for everyone.

Depends so you have to do the math. Would you get a better deal using the 10% off the entire order or 15% off one item? Those are your only choices so it shouldn't be too hard. If it is, let B&N do it for you. Add a code see the discount. Remove the code and add the other.

I suspect these are DVDs, not Blu-ray.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

So tempting to pick up AK 100 for $170 +tax.

Especially since there are no Kurosawa films in my Criterion collection.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Thanks for the advice guys. I saw the coupons on the front page, but was thrown off by all of the fine print. I should be able to use these in store?

Has anyone successfully used a coupon to pre-order Beauty and the Beast Blu-ray online?

The only store coupons available are the member coupons and the only one that would work on the 19.99 BatB is the $5 off $50.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Sorry for the confusion in my post, but those were meant to be completely separate thoughts and questions.

And I've learned the coupons don't work on preorders which I imagine has been covered here before and I think I even knew that, but forgot. Sorry.

They are not blu-rays. Most are recent releases, so $29.99 becomes $15 at half price, less an extra 10% for the "AAA" discount core = $13.49.

Good enough for me.

Gotcha! Though, during the sale last November many of us averaged $13 per blu-ray before taxes ($20 - 10% - $5 off $20). Those were the days...

edit: typo - 10% member discount, not 20%

Where did the 20% come from? The member discount is 10%.

$20 - 10% = $18 - $5 = $13.

Those were the days, indeed.

I'm aware of those glory days; I spent hundreds of dollars then. I was curious why he said 20% when there was no 20% and the math didn't compute....obviously a typo.

On the plus side, we have coupons working online this time.
