How often does that happen? 3Camel doesn't show that kind of pricing history for any of the Criterions I'm monitoring.

Not no mores. It's up to $17 and $17.01.

I was referring to Criterion's own twice-a-year half-off sale (aka Flash sale) - free shipping over $50 and no sales tax for most. But $17 is not bad for those who don't want to wait so long (third-party seller with no sales tax last I looked). --peter

Star Trek: The Next Generation season 7 is finally down to $42.99. Lowest it's been in a year or so.

Thinking about finally pulling the trigger on this one. This has stubbornly remained very high for almost 2 years now while other seasons have dropped.

This is the last season I need along with the All Good Things movie BD.

All Good Things is the last episode of season seven. Don't need to buy separately, unless you just want to have it for sake of having it.

Pretty sure that all those season cliffhanger episode releases have exclusive extras.

Though it's never been cheap by any stretch I could have sworn that Deep Discount or one of the non-amazon sellers had S7 sub $30 at some point. If you want to take a chance with Deep Discount's backorder -- it's 29.75 there with the Holly15 code though i guess California you still get sales tax

Thanks for the headsup on this. I'm in absolutely no rush to get this, so I will gladly save the extra $13 and wait out the backorder. $29 and change counting the discount is the price point I will gladly pay.

I also picked up the All Good Things BD as well.

Yes, I'm well aware the All Good Things BD is just the final 2 episodes of the series edited together as a movie. It does have extras that aren't included in the season set if I'm not mistaken and I have all the other edited episodes standalones as well. Might as well complete it.

Currently £20 at Amazon UK. At current exchange rates, it's under $21 shipped to the USA. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Star-Trek-G...ext+generation

Thanks, but I think I'll stick with my current order. Not going to go through the hassle of cancelling on DD to save like 4 or 5 bucks.

Plus I'm also getting an extra 3% cash back from another site that cannot be mentioned here.

Sorry, my bad. $25 it is. Did the calculation wrong ;-)

I actually was just looking at Star Trek: The Next Generation- The Complete Seventh Season on Amazon and wondering why all the other seasons have dropped but not that one. I bit on the Deep Discount deal and also picked up the All Good Things release. Finally will be able to complete my TNG collection on Blu-ray.

I've had this in my Amazon cart forever. I check my cart most mornings and noticed the price drop. Ordered immediately.

They are matching Walmart, where I noted the same price last night.

Yes, almost anytime Amazon has a price ending with .96 they are matching Walmart.

I didn't own a BR player during the $34.99 sale so didn't even try. I *do* own one now and am quite pleased with the $39.96 price - especially since my state currently does not pay sales tax at Amazon so it's a bit over $3 less expensive than at WM and I don't have to mess with "site-to-store" pickup (or add $10 worth of other stuff to get free shipping). I put it in my cart at WM the day it got marked down (it's shown as a "rollback") but I couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger as I very much dislike their store pickup program and couldn't find anything I wanted enough at their prices to pair with it for free shipping.

Ah the glorious days of old when Amazon provided a calendar and actually had lightening deals that were worth checking out.

When Walmart provided the option of shipping to a local UPS store instead of having to go to a Walmart, ship to store was great. Unfortunately they discontinued this. They do have an option with a smart phone app where you notify them you are in the store before going to in store pick up area. I tried this once and it worked OK.

It's still one of the finest Blu-ray sets ever released. Incredible A/V restoration and copious special features.

The Twilight Zone is the first set I recommend to new Blu-ray owners.

I don't care much for a/v improvements, and have the DVD sets. Are there really that many exclusive to BD extras?

The DVD set was fairly loaded as well with special features. The big difference in that department was the book included with the first edition DVD. It's not in the Blu-ray set. I don't have a specific list of which special features are new/exclusive to the BDs. I'm sure the review on Blu-ray.com would list them.

It's not hyperbole to say The Twilight Zone Blu-rays feature the finest black-and-white transfers on the market. They practically look like the show was made yesterday.

Also, the re-release of the series on DVD has no extras whatsoever.
