I'm still waiting on the "they actually have it" confirmation from BB. Not sure if i should be worried or not. They have acknowledged that the order was placed.

I, too, would have snagged a copy of that Burton 4 pack. It's not available anywhere close enough to mess with a store pickup (closest is 70 miles away). I've been waiting for Amazon to PM but had pretty much given up since BB didn't have it for shipping. Oh well... maybe next time.

That was a short day. The listing has disappeared from the site. Product now only available from third parties at higher prices. What is unusual for Amazon is that the deal isn't listed as sold out. Its just gone.

Probably the stock was extremely limited. $600 retail set selling for 88% off isn't going to last long.

They should have made it a Lightening Deal instead of a Deal of the Day which kind of implies you have a chance to think about it before ordering. The 100 Film DVD Best of Warners set was also listed as part of the Deal of the Day for $75. It is also gone but the listing to get from Amazon, not a 3rd party, says new stock expected on December 23 but the price for those sets is now $290.

I guess I should have bitten when I saw the deal. I'm trying to get away from the huge boxes, but the digital codes were practically worth it themselves.

WB's printed enough of these for the entire population of the world. Besides, the individual titles in this set are part of a big number of other collections, so its more double dip with this set than any other set for an ardent BD collector. Perhaps the more compelling selling point in here is the UV copy. But no need to fret, this will be part of Christmas sales for years to come
