^^^ What's funny is that I placed an order for this when it was first posted and I just got a ship notice this morning that it will be delivered on Monday. Not a bad wait for the price.

It's a good set and definitely worth it for $15.

By the way, if anyone clicks on the link, make sure you go to other new options to pull up the cheaper price. At least while it lasts.

That's what the free shipping minimum was when they first introduced it, back around 2001 or so.

The USPS raised 4-6 ounce shipping to $2.60 this year (a significant increase); though I don't believe Media mail went up at all.

Weird that they're giving free shipping for $25 worth of books, but pushing it up to $49 for CDs, DVDs, and blu-rays when books weigh significantly more.

USPS Media Mail for books or some kind of deal with the USPS. They could do it for other media, but why use all your tricks in the bag at one time.

I've also heard that the USPS may be altering the nature of media mail by possibly excluding CDs and DVDs going forward.

I was told this at a local USPS when I was shipping out a sale of a Bluray set - no more CD's, DVD's, movies UNLESS for educational purposes, don't know how that last piece could be implemented.

They have to be shipped to or from a school?

Also read a while back that comic books couldn't be shipped as bound printed matter because they contain advertisements. Guess they're afraid someone might try to order Sea Monkeys or X-Ray Glasses.

Well I guess GoHastings will be rising their shipping prices. Depending on how much that is. That might not be a bad thing for me. About 75% of blu-rays I buy from them are shipped out by media mail.
I have orders from 02/05/16 still in lala land.

I'm a big player of board games, and I've noticed that shipping prices on Kickstarter projects have increased enormously. Last year most projects had shipping included. Now it's a $10-20 add-on. USPS is a common target of blame.

They need to absorb it into the price of the product so shipping doesn't look so awful.

That and potentially the number of projects that have ended up losing money for the creator in the end because they underestimated shipping generated from adding in a ton of minis as stretch goals ;)

Given the number of complaints that come up when Kickstarter games pop up on online retailers for a significant markdown on the Kickstarter pledge price - sometimes even before the Kickstarter backers get their copy - it would probably be a mistake to further inflate that price difference by hiding the shipping cost in it. Better to be up front about the shipping cost, and get the complaints out of the way up front.
