Every review I read despised the "special" packaging.

Especially since there are multiple reports of them already falling apart. Nothing worse than paying a premium for something and what makes it premium actually is lesser quality the normal release.

I'm weak. I already have the regular edition of Lawrence of Arabia, but I couldn't turn down today's price for the boxset. I also decided to pick up You Can't Take It With You.

Not too shabby. It has been a while since there was a daily deal that caught my eye enough to make a purchase.

FYI

The Flash season 1 is now $16.96. After holding out for awhile, I decided to go ahead and get it.

I had $9 in rewards credits on my credit card, so I managed to snag it for $9.32 total.

Yep, me too. I just picked up Season 3 of Arrow for the same price last week. I always wait on any DC/Warner Bros. superhero TV series, as I know they'll be under $20 sooner or later.

Blu-ray edition of Breaking Bad is at $59.99. Best Buy price matches Amazon if you're interested in buying it at the former.

Once (Amazon Exclusive Edition) is $5.99 with free Prime shipping. Currently sold out, but still available for order. You will need to choose Amazon.com as the seller since everyone else (including the current buy box) has it at $12+.

Once is still the most honestly romantic movie made this century and features great music by the Swell Season.

Thanks for this. I've wanted to see the film for years, but never got around to it. Prime streamed it for free and I missed that too. Now, it's about $7 on Prime, which is more than this disc.

The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies Extended Edition (BD) [Blu-ray] is 14.99. I almost missed this, thinking it was the standard version.

Whoa, that's an awesome deal, thanks! Now I have Hobbit 1 and 3. $20 is my max for LOTR/Hobbit titles. Here's hoping #2 goes on sale eventually.

How much time are the extended Hobbits adding? Does the extra running time add to the enjoyment of the films?

Plenty and it's the only way to watch them. Especially Five Armies.

I think it adds a lot to the movies on all fronts unless you are just one of those that FF to the next battle scene -- or esp those who do that and then complain that
the whole story doesn't make sense. I'm pretty sure you aren't that type viewer.
Lots of information and enough backstory to fill in some odd gaps.

Thanks to both of you. I wish I would have paid attention before i bought the 3 standard br's (which I do like).

Same here...I somehow ended up with 1 & 3

Well... I'm a middle earth whore and own the theatrical *and* extended for all 6 films on DVD and am looking at duplicating that on BR. While I much prefer the extended versions and rarely view the theatrical ones, I have loaned them to people who weren't sure they wanted to invest the time needed for the extended. FWIW I don't think the extended Hobbit films add as much to the overall story as do the extended LOTR extended films, but they *are* "better" than the theatrical.

I bought the extended Hobbit 1 after seeing the original in theaters and didn't notice what the differences were.

Annoyingly, I own that film on digital then the last two theatrical films on BD. While I think the films are bloated already, I would like to see the extended footage just because it's Middle earth. I'll probably just pick up the extended trilogy on BD when it goes on sale on Black Friday or something.

It's temporarily out of stock as well, which will probably also hurt the chance of a pricematch.

It should also be mentioned that the extended editions have a wealth of extras that are not on the regular editions.
