I nabbed a Psylocke. Should I dump Captain America or Moonstone?

Just got my first Heroic 10-Pack ever. Let's see how I do!

2* Hawkeye (Purple)
2* Ares (Yellow)
4* X-Force Wolvie (Yellow) - Usable
4* Invisible Woman (Blue) - Usable
3* Patch (Red) - Usable
2* OBW (Blue)
3* Hood (Blue) - Usable
2* Thor (Red)
3* Black Panther (Black) - Usable
2* Cap (Yellow)

Can't complain about that!

Re: Marvel Puzzle Quest: Dark Reign

that's a good pack, but i'd rather than 3* than 4* at this point.

Re: Marvel Puzzle Quest: Dark Reign

If you look at the odds of getting cards, you have better odds at a specific 4* cards than a specific 3* (on heroic, it's a 1.2% chance per 4* and .8% chance per 3*). Of course, there are a lot more 3*s so you're still more likely to get a random 3* than a 4*.

Looking at the odds is enough to get you not to buy any packs, for sure. Also, it lies, there's no way Bagman is only a 7% chance.

I ended up dumping Cap. Moonstone's powers seem more useful.

I love the events where OBW is powered-up. You can just keep playing and playing until you grind down the nodes to nothing.

I liked these events when they all seemed to end around the same time (9 AM and 9 PM PST). It's harder to plan around the end of these now!

Is the app acting up for anyone else? I keep getting that network interruption error.

Re: Marvel Puzzle Quest: Dark Reign

Yup, useful Red Hulk out of those points to get to 25000. I actually like the story there too.

Re: Marvel Puzzle Quest: Dark Reign

I cannot beat the Magneto/Hood combo. They just keep spamming Magneto's powers using the Hood's passive AP collecting abilities. Total BS.

Are you using your Boosts? There's a 50% Boost for the event.

Yeah, I'm using boosts, and you can only use the 50% boost once, sadly.

Re: Marvel Puzzle Quest: Dark Reign

What's the deal with all the OBW covers. This weekend I must have thrown away 7-8 of them. They were hard to find back when I needed them. But now that I'm maxed out, they're all over the place.

But I finally got my first Spider-Man cover. Actually, I got two of them in a row. Months without getting a single one. Then BAM!, two in a row.

Re: Marvel Puzzle Quest: Dark Reign

My first Heroic 10-pack from PvP:

2* Mags-red-yes
2* Mags-red-nope after using above
2* Cap-blue-yes
2* Cap-yellow-yes
2* Moonstone-black-yes
2* Moonstone-black-yes
2* Moonstone-purple-nope
2* Thor-green-nope
3* Black Widow-red-yes
2* Hawkeye-purple-yes

Very disappointed. Was hoping for some OBW blue. Not 3 gosh darn Moonstones!

Roster advice needed...
Waiting to add = 3* Spiderman and 3* Black Widow Grey, both my first covers. These worth it to make room for?

I could remove 4* Invisible Woman (0/2/0), 2* Bullseye (5/5), Moonstone (5/3/2), Daken (5/3)?? All are at their default levels. I still have 1* BW, IM and Storm but not ready to depart with those yet.

Also, best build for 2* Mags?
3/5/5 (never will use his blue) or
4/5/4 (use red occasionally but bumping it up to 5 increases AP+3). Or really doesn't matter as long as purple is at 5?

Re: Marvel Puzzle Quest: Dark Reign

I'm still barely playing Thick as Thieves since I don't have a Hulk. However, on the bright side, I'm up to 6 covers(level 30) on my OBW and 11 covers (level 64, out of iso) on my Classic Storm. Keep on trucking and trying not to get discouraged when I don't have certain characters.

Re: Marvel Puzzle Quest: Dark Reign

Unless you can play right up until the end, it's getting to where it's not worth the time to bother with the PVE events unless you're just trying to hit tier rewards. With 2 hours to go, I ground my way up to 7th in the one that ended yesterday. I left to go to dinner with family and came back to find I only made the top 400. At least I was able to grind and get a shield up in the PVP to get a Magneto 3* cover.
