I can see it rising quicker now that the bomb is there. You go into your town, it's easier to just refresh everything by setting off a bomb.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
Maude is weird. She earns 10 GOO for a 24-hour haunt but only 3 per eight-hour task that includes Homer.
I saw that yesterday!
I've been meaning to rearrange my town at least into high and low districts, Halloween area, etc.
A legit question... that we'll never know the answer to.
I have been getting a few more friend requests (presumably from this board but not sure) so there are still active people out there even if us 10K-ers are backing off a little.

I've been meaning to rearrange my town at least into high and low districts, Halloween area, etc.How fake is this community goo counter? It seems to be up to 1500 goo per second and the counter seems to go up by the same multiple all the time with no variance. It is increasing more than it has ever been. I have cut way back on my ghost killing since hitting 10K and guessing others have done the same. I'm guessing the heavy TSTO gamers and the bulk of their players were going hard at this game when this event first started but like me have scaled way back since hitting their 10K goal. I can't imagine there is a whole new flux of new players that have been making up the difference and caused this increase of goo.

So what happens to the holiday related stuff after Nov. 7? Do I get to keep the Church of Lard Lad and vampire Burns and stuff?

Trees will return to normal, clouds will part and items/tasks that paid out in GOO, will switch over to in-game $$$.
Some skins and tasks stay (Strongman Homer, Dracula Burns, Devil Flanders, Witch Marge) -- but the trick-or-treat task outfits of Bart, Lisa, Milhouse, Nelson and Martin go away.
And Apu, Frink, Flanders, Marge and Homer should lose their GOO-gaining tasks.

I'm hoping, once I get caught up with quests, to start playing around with my town. It's been pretty boring for quite a while.

But yeah, some of the items from last Halloween like the two graveyards I've had in my town all year. You can store them away, of course, but they often pay out in $/XP so it makes sense to keep them active unless you really dislike them.

Blanketing Springfield in snow was exclusive the Christmas event/App update; that won't start until early December. Plus they may re-work that deco as it was huge server drain and nearly made the game unplayable towards the end.
There was no true Thanksgiving event last year, just a short window with the 'parade' balloons; so were likely to get another Level update (or two, and/or an episode tie-in) before then.

I think I might actually take the dive and try this, again. MasterofDVD is my name on there. My town sucks and will for some time I'm guessing.

All this, except I'm guessing that trees will become snow-covered. Also, you will lose all accumulated GOO. In past events, there have been ways to convert excess, but that probably won't happen this time since we're getting rewarded (in donuts!) for hitting levels beyond the prizes.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
Does anyone have some of last year's Halloween stuff set out in their town right now? I'd like to see how a few of these look in a town before plunking down donuts for them.
I'm really considering getting the "Heck House" facade for the First Church of Springfield because I think it's funny and now it's got me thinking about the other limited time items such as the House of Evil and Bad Dream House. Are they fun? Do they "fit" in your Springfield year-round? And what about the Witch Marge who speeds up crops? Is it worth it? I'm getting to the point, cashwise, that I'm not so certain the 2.25% bonus from the cauldron really means all that much to me unless people can sway me another way. Finally, do the cemeteries or mausoleum dole out cash in the off-season?
Have worked my way up to 169 donuts through a few left over from buying a few at the last Gil sale, leveling up several times, the Burns task, and the random donut in a ghost or piece of debris. Was going to get Handsome Pete because he's so funny on the show and then it doesn't sound like he does anything. So I'm really choosy in spending real money. Any thoughts on the above limited-time stuff is appreciated, thanks.

Yeah, check out my town (rockscissors). The main thing was the Bad Dream House, the two cemeteries and a mausoleum (premium). There's also Kang's spaceship and rocket (premium), but that's identical to Kodos's. The main things are in the top middle of my town, I put up some hedges saying "Boo!"
Last year's halloween activity involved popping zombies, which would in turn zombify your characters. The zombies you see in the store (including animal zombies) are from that.

I've kept the Bad Dream House and House of Evil in my town all the time. I put the cemeteries in storage until this event. I don't think I have the mausoleum. I didn't get witch Marge or any of the other premium stuff last year.

Anybody have the "Heck House"? I wanna check it out.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
I'll accept the request, I have to delete some people from a year ago who don't play anymore. My Heck House is there too in case you wanted to have a look.
Edit: Deleted a bunch of folks who haven't played in 7+ months, and accepted a bunch o folks.
Double edit: Canis mentioned the House of Evil, I totally forgot about that. It doesn't stick out like the other Halloween buildings so it seems like any other business. Sneaky. Also the Springfield Subatomic Supercollider and the Black Hole are part of it.
There was also a Mayan Calendar (you got pieces every so often and had to fit them together) and a Mayan God (just a walking decoration). This and the Collider/Hole were part of the lead up to the Treehouse of Terror. The Mayan asks you a question based on the episode (similar to whoever asked it this year) and you get donuts with a correct response.
Here's a breakdown of last year's event. Looking at it, there are a lot of things that I forgot about, including Homer's Mayan costume with the correct response.

I just started a new job and I'm working a ton of overtime. Sorry to everyone, I've been really slacking on visiting your towns. I'll try to do a run tomorrow.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
The cemeteries spewed out zombies last year and ghosts this year, but in the offseason they gave out cash. The Christmas tree does too. In general, you should check the output of something before you put it in storage, though that doesn't always work. The snake rocks and stumps started cranking out cash but it was after a little time had passed after the whacking event ended. Fortunately they told us about it in an update so we were able to take out stuff out of storage and get the cash going.

BTW, I have every item both premium and non-premium in my town so if you want to take it look at it, they are out there somewhere.

Now hear this: I am so very ready for the dark clouds to go away so I can see my Springfield again. That is all.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I thought they made some changes to the original design of the clouds, in one of the patches. It was darker in the original release.
That or I got used to them.
