Some OP updates:
- Added 8-10 people who have posted their name here either in recent days or who I missed but searched for your name when I noticed you'd requested me in my game.
- Added the Goo chart that Raul3 put up (thanks, Raul).
My building is done in less than an hour and then I'll join in on the fun!

Finally getting GOO. Hopefully we'll all be able to get all the personal rewards. Probably have to coordinate something like the Whacking Day event I imagine.

I'm only about 40 minutes in and the bulk of my friends list hasn't completed their Fortune Teller building, but I'm slightly more than half-way to the second prize.

Agreed.. so far.. I have the first prize and am at 155 GOO so far. I visited every town and most did not have the ability to haunt or collect GOO. Tomorrow should be better in that regard. I saw a few people from here that are already over 600 or more GOO. I think I have everyone in my game. I will be double checking against the list Story is maintaining in the first post to make sure I didn't miss anyone.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
Do you mean the characters you can assign tasks to?
If they are free and just wandering around Krustyland, if you use the Bus to go back to Springfield, they will show there and wander around to be able to assign tasks.

So are we supposed to not have characters assigned to any tasks? That way, they wander around town until they get possessed by a ghost for more goo?

If they are assigned a task in one location, they will not be available at the other. IE if you assign Homer a task in Springfield, he won't show up as available in Krustyland.

I think that just takes away ghost you would normally see to tap on. I don't think it is extra. Meaning that each day you have a set amount of ghosts in your town and no distinction between ones you see and ones that possessed a resident.

Thanks Canis.
Whoah. I just got Kodos. They're both here now. And after acquiring pretty much everything all at once, Homer has about 5 tasks ahead of him.

Ghosts will possess characters who are on tasks but as far as I can tell the ghosts are a set amount every day. There doesn't seem to be any benefit to having a possessed character.

Bart, Milhouse, Lisa, Martin, Nelson, Marge, and Burns all have goo tasks. 16 hours except for Burns who has a 12 hour task.

In one Springfield of someone here, it looked like Chalmers was wearing a costume on a task. What building or item gives him that?

Pro tip:
When visiting friends you can get 6 ghosts instead of 5.
Basically, what I've been doing is to tap the first four, and then wait until I see two ghosts close and tap both of them really fast. They both will give you goo.
That's up to extra 100 goo a day.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
At first, I thought this was too complex but really it's even less complex than Whacking Day:
- Snakes would disappear into buildings on their trails while ghosts float over everything so they never "hide."
- Dropping gremlins is the click of a button rather than the time it takes to drop eggs.
- Between haunting friend's buildings, dropping gremlins, and popping ghosts, there's more to do and in a little time.
Two downsides I see so far:
- If you have an inactive friend, you're not getting goo from them, unlike snakes in Whacking Day whether the friend was active or not.
- The cloud cover is honestly making it really difficult for me to see what's going on in the game. I keep getting pretty frustrated.
