I've won dozens of them and the only other prize I got that was any good was Squeaky Voiced Teen. What's your user name? I'll add you.

You lucky bastard! I got $250!

I've won good prizes in the past though.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

This level isn't engendering the sort of conversation we're used to, eh? I think the more social the aspects of the game, the more we talk here, actually. Shout outs for snake eggs and so on.

I think Level 47 is pretty funny so far. Nice when side characters from other levels like Kirk and Judge Snyder get in on the storyline naturally.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Amazing to see the leaderboard posted. I am pretty new to this game, only been playing for maybe 3 weeks and currently at level 19. On The Halloween i came very low in my list. The guy who came top had a score of over 140,000. I ended up with only around 30,000 at the end. Some people must really dedicate a lot of time to this game. Its fun, and my wife is constantly playing it.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Thanksgiving update this morning. Be sure to have Homer and Flanders free for a 6 hour task.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Homer and Lisa also start a quest in this update too. Part 1 is 6s for Homer and Lisa, Part 2 is 60 min for Homer, not sure after that, but you may want to do them before 6 hour Flanders/Homer job.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Looks like aside from the two costumes, everything in this event costs donuts. Even the episode tie-in building.

I sure hope they have something cool for Christmas.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I spent donuts on the Guitar Central though I probably should have spent more for a building with a character.

Not buying Guitar Central, hope it doesn't screw me up on the event.

I think you'll just miss out on the tie-in mini-event. I've missed lots of those.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Tablet games can't connect to Origin. EA forums can't connect to Origin. But I can go directly to Origin and log in without difficulty.

I've read that it may be a DDOS attack from one of those hacker groups.

Maybe/maybe but connected but I was playing BF4 this afternoon and then couldn't connect anymore to EA later. It was weird and random.

Because no one else was on the network?

I finally got in last night. Such a taunt to keep getting the notifications that something has been finished and not to be able to do anything about it.

I think because my task of Lisa and Flanders having a Thanksgiving meal together started on Thanksgiving but ended after it was over, I ended up with nothing. This morning, I tapped them and they simply walked away from the table. No big turkey or whatever. Lame!

This quest was driving me nuts because I had both characters free and in their respective skins, but the task wasn't available. Fortunately it finally came up, not sure why. Once it was finished
Spoiler:
I did get a prompt to buy a fitness machine to continue the quest, but I don't want to spend the donuts.

I'm a little annoyed by the Gil deals, but they are a clever way to do a Black Friday deal, and they appear to cycle through often enough to give us a chance at most or all of them.

But if the Homer dialogue is correct, we'd have to put up the full amount of donuts then get the rebate back, which is not great when I'm currently at 105 donuts. Also some of the cheaper items I'd been considering like the sushi restaurant aren't in the deal.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Just unlocked Stewart Duck and I can't help but think he should be under "Plant Workers" rather than "Pets and Animals".

FYI: There's supposed to be a new premium item for purchase tomorrow: Truckasaurus with animation.

I finally finished the quest but I think I still missed something. It the turkey was a donut purchase I wouldn't have made it, anyway, so oh, well.

I spent one buck on a golden ticket at the Kwik-E-Mart and bought a bunch of blood mobiles to earn enough donuts to get Sheri and Teri for the deal. With rebate, I'm at 42 donuts. A little buyer's remorse but I'll go with it.
