Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I don't know why but yesterday I got a level 43 update but I couldn't see what it was for. Then I looked it up and saw it was the Krustyland update that Bart and Homer kick off in the restaurant. Well I already did that quest awhile ago but got no update for it. And now it won't let me do the Princess Penelope quest.

Gil deal is Otto, a teatherball (.5% bonus), a seesaw and some monkeybars for 70 donuts. Going to have to get it

That seems to be what the update was, not a new event just a sale. Too bad...

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

The folks at TSTO Addicts are speculating that this Gil deal is just a filler... EA had something bigger planned but it wasn't quite ready for rollout on time. I'm glad for it... I didn't have Otto, and even though D120 was a very reasonable price, D70 is a no-brainer.

Definitely a heckuva good deal, I nabbed it and I have 134 donuts still saved up. Would've been 138 if not for that confirm donut spend mysteriously turned off a few days back. Also wish I could've gotten the donut deal to work. Next time, I just need to play from a friend's iPad for a little bit and get the deal made.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Only a 6 MB update!

Oh, but it's only a Gil deal?

I guess I'll get it since I don't have Otto, but I only have 60 donuts. I just got three from leveling up, and even getting two from neighbor visits like last night won't get me there in time. Too bad I missed out on the last $7.99 deal.

On the good side, Brandine just birthed a second Spuckler!

A friend of mine had this happening all the time on android, it was because he had something that would occasionally run to clear out temp files and caches. It would delete the files that Tapped Out downloads.

I don't think the Tavern on the Scream has anything to do with the Princess Penelope quest. Krusty starts it. To get the Princess and the Pea-Brain you must be level 43 and you must have built the Itchy & Scratchy Studio. It won't give you the current level quest if you haven't at least done the first part of the previous level quest.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

For the first time in a long time, I got no donuts from a round of neighbor visits.

Welcome to my regular town-tappin', no-donutin' routine. Think I've gotten two ever.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I splurged for one golden Scratch-R, and the dozen donuts got me enough to purchase the Gil deal.

It's out!

Looks like fun. A lot of spoilers out there, so be careful.

A strip of line... For 10M if you want to buy everything

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

D'oh! I updated the game and played it off and on throughout the day and it was just fine. I just now tried playing it and it has me starting over from scratch! ARRRRGGHHH!

EDIT: The game must've logged me out for some reason and I was playing anonymously. I restarted my phone, logged in, and everything's there. Whew!

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Will we all end up pillaging each others' towns with this event? Could be cool!

I've sadly added several names to the "Don't play anymore" list:
KillerCannibal | ajarrigo3 (added 08.20.2014)
CardiffGiant11 | CardiffGiant11 (added 08.20.2014)
Funkpie | Funkpie420 (added 08.20.2014)
JChaos | Furiated (added 08.20.2014)
Gooter | Gooter (added 08.20.2014)
Me007gold | Me007gold (added 08.20.2014)

I probably should add Chowbacca but I can't bring myself to do it. Dude joined ten years ago and made his only post ever right here. Plus, he's clearly spent tons of donuts so for him to suddenly stop playing seems a little off. I'll be honest, I hope everything is okay.

Hey Story,

Yeah, I don't play Tapped Out anymore. I got burned out from it. But then I started up the Family Guy: Quest for Stuff game and am right back into it. Doh! There is a current Comic Con event going on in that game where you can earn Patrick Stewart, Ron Perlman, Felicia Day, George Takei, Bryan Cranston, and Nathon Fillon. All with their voices too.

Thanks

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I've been playing FG too but only once every few days or so.

The "prizes" seem about unreachable to me.
Many needing hundreds of clams to get.

Also I can't get anyone added as neighbors so no other towns to visit.

Some of them will be unreachable for me too (George Takei) but you'll be surprised at how quickly you can accumulate Blam. I also like how FG isn't stingy with Clams (in game $$) either.

I don't like that the friend/neighbor option is limited to Facebook. I have the same problem as you. I only have 1 friend who joined it. LoL

I've been playing FG too but have no idea how to add neighbors without using facebook. After the simpsons update, I'm back to playing that also.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Of course I had to delete some stuff off my phone to run the update.

I never got around to trying the Family Guy game, but just for the record, I hate games that force integration with Facebook.

I went a couple days without getting any then got two more last night. Hope that doesn't end up delaying any community activity, though.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Can you select what friend to pillage?
It seems it's random.

I just started so not really sure what I'm doing :P

I think you pillage non friends just labeled "an invader" and it must be worldwide too because I've seen "an invader" in other languages.
