The Simpsons: Tapped Out

The blood mobile trick is awesome. I went from ~$17 million to ~$9 million buying (and reselling!) blood mobiles and leveled up a few times for donuts (lost track of how many times). Plan to bank $10 million and do this with $11-$15 million petty cash. There have been a few weeks, perhaps even a couple months, when I've barely been tapping once a day and even not at all here and there. But earning free donuts in a relatively simple way with in-game cash is a good road to picking some premium items. Got 30 in the mystery box immediately after the Easter event, 20 from the frame rate issue apology, another 2 from Level 40 and 2 from Level 41, plus at least 12-15 from blood mobile leveling up. Sitting at something like 265+ and ready to buy a few things. Crazy Cat Lady looks too funny!

I have 270 donuts, exactly enough to get Otto and Jasper. I'm tempted. Been holding onto / trying to save up donuts for so long it would be weird to be back to zero. But maybe...

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
My cash reserves usually hover around $15 million, but buying weather stations and now bloodmobiles (which are much simpler to buy and resell) have dipped me below $10M, which is still a lot but a little alarming to look at so I'm taking a break to restore my cash pile.
Thanks to those for passing on the tip!

It takes 10 kids to beat up Cocoa Beanie but I only have 9 without going ahead and buying a premium character. Lame.

Day 21 of not being able to log in.
You people with your iphones and tablets that are able to log in.
It's unfair.
I bet you're going to go to the bathroom tonight and play while on the toilet and I'll be in bed alone, unable to play, not knowing the wonders and amazement you are having while my magnificent Samsung tablet worth hundreds of dollars sits lonely.

Did they remove the super xp when buying blood trucks?

Still there, the XP.
You need more points to Level up later, of course. I stopped at 775K XP points to level up, and 10 million in cash. Because I think we may have an update soon.
I think this is a good way to keep long time players interested.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
I didn't log in to the game for five days and it gave me the option of paying 5 donuts to "catch up" with the end-of-the-week Mystery Box. "Good" way to save 1 donut off the regular Mystery Box price of 6, if you don't intend to tap in and you're hoping for some more fence pieces...

New update tomorrow and it has something to do with the Stonecutters. I'm sure they had this planned in advance but they seem to be copying the Family Guy game in the way that they're teasing the update.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
Last night I forgot to assign my characters to tasks so they were all just wandering around this morning. I've gone stretches without playing before, but that was a new level of lazy neglect. Hope this update is good.
Of course all my characters are tasking until tonight, but it's still worth getting things going.

You can finally locate your characters anywhere in town, and the build menu has been improved so it keeps scrolling if you flick it.

And they added a button with a nuclear explosion icon that allows you to store every item in your town. I guess that's handy if you want to redesign and replace every building to start from scratch instead of having to do it all manually.

Glad to see those new features. It looks like there are a lot of skins with this update and not so many buildings and characters. It also looks like they are going back to the old way for events...no damn wheels or boxes. I sort of wish they'd do more with Krustyland. They haven't done much with it since the initial update.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
The new inventory system seems to have introduced some bugs. The main problem seems to be with trees. I've seen reports of trees disappearing when put into inventory, changed into different trees, or being tagged to Krustyland.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
This is my first full major event while playing this game (started playing in the final week of Easter) will I be missing out on a bunch of stuff because I'm only at level 17 or so? Or will things intro'd here just lay in wait until I hit the proper level?
