I don't see why not. Load the gift cards in itunes, load the game to the itouch, sign in, make the purchase, sign out, delete. Load game on your droid > profit.

(Assuming it's not an old itouch that would crash on the game.)

Well, she got it in 2009, I think. Is that an "old" one?

Not sure. Is she running the current iOS? If so, I think it'd work.

She hasn't used it in a couple years. I'll take a look and see what I can see. Would be simpler if I could just buy donuts direct from the iTunes store.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

If you get stumped on who to send on Number One's requests, I put up a Group Character List in the OP I found at tstoaddicts, so enjoy.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Added an Inactive Players list to the OP if I see you haven't played in at least two weeks and/or you don't have the latest updates in your town for a while. If I mistakenly put you on this list, my apologies and by all means please let me know.

Thanks for updating the list! I play daily and try to visit everyone. I just started the Sacred Parchment puzzles! I'm really liking this update. It makes you think a little!

Just a heads up for people who need to plan ahead. The Number 1 tasks for tomorrow will total 20 hours. Here is a chart that shows the task lengths by date. It might be difficult for some to get the 400 emblems without having to speed up a task.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Lately I've been trying to end tasks at midnight to get a head start on Number 1. It's tricky managing those tasks along with the parchment ones and the main questline.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

There actually might be a glitch. The list I gave is supposedly in the files but some people are claiming that their reset times have changed. Another person said that their task pattern was running one day behind. So I'm not sure what to make of it.

Mine did start with four- and six-hour quests, and I didn't get started at midnight so I'm not going to make it.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Well, that blows. I started the last six-hour task with only a couple hours to go, thinking I'd at least give myself the option of rushing it through with donuts, then I got distracted and let midnight pass. Now Number 1's tasks have reset, but the bar is still occupied with the six-hour task, three and a half hours to go. Fortunately from the chart above, it looks like tomorrow is an easy day so I'll just let this end early in the morning and start fresh on the tasks tomorrow.

On the good side, the Interrogate a Squealer task has been fixed to reflect double points for the two characters. That's good since I've been using a lot of one-hour tasks with all these quests going on.

That happened to me, but it turns out if you're in the middle of a task at midnight, it simply becomes your first task for the next day. You lose out on three hundred emblems, but at least you only have three more tasks.

Yep, that's what happened. I started the game this morning, and Number 1 gave me credit for a completed task when I figured I'd just get nothing. I only got 150 emblems rather than 400, so that was a loss, but at least it gave me a head start on today. My second (I think) task was
Spoiler:
sending a dimwit to eat a Gulpwich (1 hour, 200 emblems) followed by send a high roller to give to charity (4 hours, 250 emblems).

In an ideal world, I'll be finishing all my Number 1 tasks before midnight, but it's good to know that it isn't a complete waste.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Sixteen hours of Number 1 tasks today. I started with a two-hour at midnight but was unwilling to stay up to initiate the next one. Getting that going at 7 means that if I start each one right after the other, I'll end at 11 pm. Not much room for error there. Even better, there's another 20-hour set tomorrow!

Has anyone gone for the emblem pyramid?

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Real quick: is it worth sending more than one person to do a Number One task? Do you get emblems for each who do it or only the first one?

The payout's the same no matter how many people you send, but if you're trying to keep your characters synced, there's no reason not to either.

I had a 1, a 2, a 4, and a 6 today. And I haven't had a 20 hour day yet.

I have seen in one of the neighbor's towns the last two items. It looks like a table and a weird statue. I am sort of interested in the table but the ugly satan's statue is not appealing. I am not staying up all night just to reach that goal.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I did have 16 hours today, but fortunately I was thinking the last task was eight but it was only six, so I should be done by 9.

If tomorrow starts with a six-hour, then that will work pretty well with my schedule to start it at midnight.

Yeah, I just think it's kind of fun to send them all on the assigned task, and it's a hair more convenient to finish them all with one tap.

When I'm juggling other quests, though, and the Number 1 task is long, I'll put one person on it and leave the others on shorter stuff.
