That Battlefield 4 presentation was much better than the earlier one.

As I said in the E3 thread, I thought the BF4 clip was fine, until the guy called in the airstrike with a tablet. I do not like that at all.

Why shouldn't we be able to actually call it in with the Kinect? Make it useful for something.

Haven't had a chance to check everything out from today but one that sticks out...Titanfall...looks like a real badass....Ghost Recon/Future Soldier meets Mech Warrior. A real stunner.

Just preordered the Xbox One at my local Gamestop, one block from home, really useful for a midnight launch.

I had to pay a $100 deposit!!!

If not because I'm 100% sure I'm buying that console, and I'm sure GS will have a nice trade in deal with the Xbox 360, and because I'm rich too, of course, I wouldn't do it.

I didn't even ask what number I was in the list.

You know, something no one's brought up yet is all the waiting around we're going to be doing when we pop in a new game. From mandatory instals, to downloads from the cloud and updates and instals, etc, etc. It's like we're gonna have to put in a new game, make and eat dinner, then maybe be able to play it that same day you bought it.

They already said you can play during install. Also I'm hoping they have some sort of streaming tech similar to Gaikai for cloud games, otherwise it isn't cloud, it's just an FTP server.

360 updates were always very fast, esp compared to the PS3, so I hope that stays.

I thought since it's all running off the cloud there would be no need for Updates and big installs. You could just pop in the disc and everything will have already been updated through the cloud?

Maybe nobody's talking about it because it's not going to be an issue. The Xbox One is going to allow for "instant" playing of the game as the game and updates install in the background.

Play without the wait.

With Xbox One, you can start playing immediately as games install. And updates install seamlessly in the background, so your games and entertainment won’t be interrupted.

Yep, they've said you can start playing the second it starts installing.

I'd like to see a SE HALO Xbox One ....the last Halo on the 360 was stunning...cannot even imagine what it'll be on XO.

Where was "Destiny"...did it even get mentioned?

I hope they'll be a Halo 2 anniversary for XBOX one.

Destiny will probably be in the PS4 show.

Oh, okay, I didn't catch that. So, that's one good advancement about the Bone...

Ha wow, gotta be shitting me. I have decided to wait until these consoles are released so I can watch a you tube video of someone gutting the console and confirming how everything works (seriously).

With that hidden camera lens, I can also see some company being formed to make covers for the console - I would definitely buy one if they fit good.

It has the same color palette and overall 'look' of a lot of other stuff out there. It also seems like firearms play a bigger role this time. For me, the most fun I had in the first two was doing silly stuff like putting Lego heads on zombies and bashing them with stuffed animals.

Exactly. Putting on silly costumes, making silly ass weapons made DR. Come on, nothing funnier than watching a zombie slip in fry oil repeatedly and when he finally stands up you smack 'em in the face with a hot skillet.

UbiSoft conference is boring.

Re: Xbox One: This Thread Requires An Always On Internet Connection

Just finished watching the main conference, overall impressed with it. Still will not be getting it for probably about 2 years until say a bundle w/game(s) of a price of $400. No need with the backlog I already have and the fact that renting might not be an option with the new system. And lastly because I still have my current tv a Sony XS36955. Until I get my flat screen of around 60-5", then I'll consider getting this to truly appreciate and that's where my next funds are going to. Now say if there was a deal of of an XO being included with a plasma purchase, might get it sooner ;)

No. There is no official release date yet. Everyone has a different guess as to what it is. Amazon's is just a place holder right now.

I'm assuming that's a placeholder date. So far, the official word is just "November", so Amazon hedged their bets and chose the last possible day in November. When an official date is announced (unless it does wind up being 11/30!), they'll adjust it.

I preordered but may or may not cancel.

Yeah I feel the same way. Just took a number is what I told my wife when she asked why I was pre-ordering a system that we still don't know a whole lot about.

It'll be interesting to see if anyone develops a Disconnect for Xbox One. Plug it in and it spoofs internet and Kinect. No necessity to mod the Xbox itself. Turn Xbox One into the Stealthbox.
