Re: Bungie - Destiny
his week at Bungie, we broke a lot of ice. So did you. It’s been a busy cycle.
We began with a visit to the Tower by the Agent of the Nine. You know him as Xûr. He brought with him a prize that many Guardians had coveted. You know it as Ice Breaker. Our mysterious merchant left with a strange haul of 19,436,440 coins - all earned in battle. That’s the gameplay equivalent of 2,159,604 Weekly Heroic Strikes on the highest level of difficulty. Not bad for two days’ work.
Keep your head down out there. With 1,143,320 brand new sharpshooters in circulation, we launched some new activities. Let’s take a look at all the ways you’ve been able to dispense your replenishing ammunition.

Well folks, here we go with the Week 20 Xur Report, brought to you by sleep. Sleep, what you should be doing right now instead of visiting Xur.
Xur is located in center tower again, this time by the Vanguard table in the back.
Well, after last week's bonanza, Xur couldn't help but be disappointing this week. Well, he could have offered something that starts with a g, ends with an n and is all kinds of badass in the middle, but as you will see, that didn't happen. Instead we get another DLC only week.
On sale this week:

For the Titan it's the Mk. 44 Stand Asides Leg Armor. It's the second time he's offered these, and this time it's a far worse roll.
For the Hunter, it's the one new Xur item this week, the Radiant Dance Machines Boots. If you're rapping Ice Ice Baby and want to glow when you turn off the lights, these are the boots for you. For the rest of us, Meh.
For the Warlock, It's the Starfire Protocol Chest for the 3rd time. Xur loves to sell repeats for us Warlock lovers.
The engram is back this week! It's a helmet. More on that below.
The weapon this week is almost the opposite of what we got last week. We go from the glory of the Ice Breaker to the misery of the No Land Beyond. Yep, that one again. It sucked before, and it still sucks.
This week's upgrades:
For the Hunter, it's the Knucklehead Radar (2nd Time) and Achlyophage Symbiote (3rd Time) Helmets
For the Titan, it's the Helm Of Inmost Light (2nd Time) and Crest Of Alpha Lupi Chest (4th Time)
For the Warlock, it's the Light Beyond Nemesis Helmet (3rd Time) and the return of Sunbreakers (4th Time)
Weapons (7 this week again on PS):
Bad Juju (2nd Time)
Invective (1st Time)
Universal Remote (4th Time)
Thunderlord (4th Time)
Gjallarhorn (5th Week in a row, FUCK YOU XUR!)
Truth (2nd Time)
Hawkmoon (2nd Time)
So with the Invective being offered for upgrade, every exotic weapon other than the Mythoclast has been offered at least once. On the armor side, only Voidfang Vestments hasn't been offered as of yet.
So I bought the Dance Machines, and 4 helmet engrams. From the engrams, I got Helm Of Inmost Light, Helm Of Saint-14, Apotheosis Veil, and Helm Of Inmost Light...again. Or, as I should have said, 4 Exotic shards.
I will be upgrading my Knucklehead Radar, which will be the last Armor upgrade I need. (Until the next DLC anyway) Still need the Arachnid helmet and Praxic Fire to complete the armor collection.

Xur sucks this week.
The Mk. 44 Stand Asides are way worse than the ones I have. (like more than 20 points worse on the Strength)
The Starfire Protocol are slightly worse than what I have (I think it was like 12 points less)
Bought 2 helmet engrams hoping for somethin for my Warlock or my Titan. Got 2 helmets for my Warlock. Apothesis Veil (worse) and the Light Beyond Nemesis (better) - as Scott said - I bought some shards.
Good news is the Radiant Dance Machines were a really good roll and were way better (by +23 Strength) than the one I had drop for me a few weeks ago so I picked those up.

Re: Bungie - Destiny
After playing this God knows how many times, I landed of all things on a Nightfall...No Land Beyond sniper. I gave it a try and after 3-4 shots got sent to File 13. I think someone last night mentioned Bungie claimed that over 1 Million Ice Breakers were sold. I'll be shocked....and disappointed....if even a 100 of these get sold . And those that buy them should get Black Listed.
Nothing on that list interest me one bit though considering I have over 145 Motes of Light I'll probably roll the dice and hope I get one or two missing Helms for my Warlock or Titan. My Hunter has all of them.
I'm sorry but it seems each week I feel I'm taking....."One step forward and two steps back" where the divide with stuff you need versus the stuff you have too much of, no longer can use or can't sell grows bigger each week. Between the "Craptarch", lack of section from your Vanguard, continued getting Ascendant Shards that I have zero use of along with Motes of Light, Spinmetal (I have over 800+) and Xur almost getting worse with the same limited items each week....it's a feeling that's slowly eroding my enthusiasm for the game.

i finally got to level 10 last night. I am starting to enjoy strikes a bit more. Do legendaries and exotics drop at this level or only after 20? I still am not getting very good loot. i still only have like 3 greens and the rest are whites.

Legendary and Exotic gear and weapons are for Level 20 and above. Blue gear will start around the Level 12 phase and will be your legendary gear until you hit 20. Then you'll start sharding it as you get real legendary gear.

Unfortunately You can't use Legendaries/Exotics until after level 20. I think after level 12 was when I started to see better and more frequent drops for greens and blues.

Another thing you might wanna do is go around in the patrol missions and hit the loot chests/material spawns. Run a circle/loop in one area in particular and you can find a good amount of engrams in a chest along with picking up some materials and joinig some public events.
These are areas I seem to find are laden with chests:
Earth - head over to the Divide and do a loop between there and the Rocketyard.
Moon - I like Archer's Line area.
Venus - Ember Caves - Could be the best area to farm for chests in the game
Mars - I like the Scablands though I also have luck in the Buried City
Once you learn where the chests spawn it is easy to grab em.

Slowly???
I'll bet the userbase for this game drops off a cliff the next time they have paid content that wasn't included in most people's original purchase. I know I'm done with it at that point.
And Jesus, Xurd is terribad this week.
But honestly, there are only a couple things he could possibly sell that I'd care about at this point:
That's pretty much it, and honestly, I'd be just as happy getting multiples of the new raid weapons. Ultimately, I have zero desire to collect all of this shit, and you know me, I like collecting stuff, so that's a problem.

- Praxic Fire: I'm not even sure I'd use it at this point, but I'd like to have it
- Mida: Would probably buy 3, just for raid
- Chest engram: I wonder what the cap is on motes, because I have to be close to 200.

Thanks to the late night crew for coming together and doing one more Crota run. Saved me from resorting to LFG.
Worked out because after Crota normal, Scott's Euro friends came on and we cheesed the bridge on Hard. Got me the auto rifle. Also got a Dragon's Breath and Black Hammer (both my 1st) on the normal run. And, more importantly, I have enough shards to level to 32! Just need to farm glimmer/helium.
And Chess, you'll be proud of me, I had to defend Warframe against the masses.
LOL. They called me out for posting in the Warframe thread. I also had to teach them what it means to 'potato' something. I don't think they are switching though.

yea..."Xur.....a.k.a Bungie could do something's but the bad thing is those are one time fixes just like last weeks Ice Breaker. The thrill lasted all but two days and then...WHAM!!...back to realty which we're seeing this week.
What they really need to do is expand his offerings and selections via maybe not just limited Exotics but also some Legendary gear that is truly unique and useful. A game like this there shouldn't be anything less than 20-25 different Scout, Auto, Fusion, etc guns each.
* I'd throw a Legendary Weapon Engram in the mix with Motes of Light but add something you cannot buy or at least a shot at it.
* They really need to expand the actual choices. There should be 5-8 Exotic Helms, Gauntlets, Vests and Boots for each character minimum. Can they explain why there is not?
* Trade Ascendant Materials for Radiant
* Able to sell materials for glimmer period.
* Rotate the stuff in the Vanguard and Factions...this really annoys me that it's so damn limited and stays the same.
* Able to "Upgrade" all VoG items including armor. This stuff was good the first time and in some case took a lot of effort to get. It's a crime they more or less said, "tough sh#t...just go and play Crota and deal with it"

Re: Bungie - Destiny
I'm the guy who paid $90 and is going to get my $90 worth, but that's the last penny that goes into supporting this game...ever. The game has tons of potential, but Bungie are utterly fucking clueless about how to structure this type of game.
I'm also the guy who played Borderlands 2 for literally hundreds of hours until they didn't give the last level cap increase to season pass holders. You think I bought that DLC? Nerp.
If I could get my $90 back, I'd stop playing this millisecond.
Or perhaps you'd like to bet $90 that I can walk away?

Pretty sure this is why I got a "GFY" response
But yeah, if I didn't care for it I'd have just sold the main disc and moved on to recoup some of that.
