partially but megaman was also off about the heavy ammo so in reading his postings I'm pretty confident he is just using the same methods as megaman ....

I know you're pretty sure I'm full of bull but just trust me, just once.
Universal remote.
Hotpf.
Ats-8 anarchid.
No backup plans.
Heavy ammo.
My guess is Bungie will change it to dragons breath and might take off heavy (unlikely).

Jumped in this morning and picked up the Heart of the Praxic Fire (finally) and a Helmet engram. The other exotics are really crappy rolls. I think there are only a couple of exotic helmets left that I'd like to have. My engram yielded me another Light Beyond Nemesis which I sharded. I am not sure if I want to pick up the Universal Remote even with the shotgun buff though a primary shotty would a nice change of pace.

If this is accurate and true then here is my shopping list:
That would take care of all the helmets except for The Obsidian Mind and the Achlyophage Symbiote for me

My issue is going to be the lack of matchmaking for most things. I have zero 360 friends that play so no raids for me. Just being able to do strikes will only get me so far, right?

The lfg/fireteams sites are great for finding people to raid with. And you'll likely add a bunch of people to your friends list in the process, so it's a win-win.

Thanks for the help guys. Since passing 20, I can really see the grind people talk about. I am having fun right now but we will see how long that lasts.
I haven't even finished the story. Do I get anything if i do that? The story sucks so I haven't pushed to finish

i tried the Weekly Heroic Strike for the first time, yikes we couldn't finish it. That big guy with the missles and gatlin gun is brutal, but manageable UNTIL you start getting swarmed by the big guys with the shields. I will probably level up a bit more before trying it again

Destiny: Xur Agent of the Nine "Items Can Be Changed In Real Time & Via Patch, Bungie Manually Controls It": Leaker
http://www.gamepur.com/news/18179-de...-manually.html
Last week the appearance of Destiny: Xur Agent of the Nine stirred a major controversy and raised some serious questions on Bungie's claim that "Xur: Agent of the Nine's" inventory is randomly generated and the development team has no control over it. This new controversy started with an "almost accurate prediction" of Destiny: Xur Agent of the Nine inventory for Week 25 (Feb 27-Mar 1) by reddit user "megamanexe4
In a recent reddit post, megamanexe4 levelled some serious allegations on Bungie related to Destiny: Xur Agent of the Nine. According to megamanexe4, after last week's prediction, Destiny gamers emailed him to know more about what's coming with Xur: Agent of the Nine for Week 26, but he won't be revealing anything in coming days out of fear that "releasing this info will prompt Bungie to change the list."
Megamanexe4 further added that Xur's list of items of sale can be changed in real time, not just via patches, and Bungie manually controls when Xur appears, where he appears, etc, and therefore they can do things like prevent the original scheduled of Xur from appearing and replace him with a different Xur available in case of emergency.
•"There was one minor change to Xur with this patch, but he's basically exactly the same as before.
•I have received many emails asking for the list of Xur's upcoming items, but I have not and will not answer them, out of fear that releasing this info will prompt Bungie to change the list.
•Xur's list of items of sale can be changed in real time, not just via patches.
•Bungie manually controls when he appears, where he appears, etc. Therefore, they can do things like prevent the originally scheduled Xur from appearing and replace him with an different Xur prepared in case of emergency.
•I have already seen Xur appear with a different list of items than what originally appeared in my data. When I checked that Xur's list of items, they were all identical to what ended up going on sale that week. The next week, he reverted to his original scheduled list. Therefore, I've concluded that Bungie prepared a different Xur for that one particular week.

Re: Bungie - Destiny
This week's Xur report is brought to you by leaks. Leaks, the best thing to happen to Xur in weeks. Now our disappointment can happen days or even weeks in advance!
If you haven't guessed by now, this week Xur is offering the exact same assortment of items that was predicted in the reddit post. It's not a bad set of items, and includes the final piece of exotic armor that Xur had never sold.
Xur is located in the hangar, way down in the bowels/bar area.
Here's the deals:

For the Titan, it's the Helm Of Saint-14 Helmet. Titans, if you don't have it, grab it. It turns your bubble into one that can blind enemies, making them easier to kill.
For the Hunter, it's Young Ahamkara's Spine gauntlets. Like your tripmines to last longer? Pick these up! Otherwise, hold out for Don't Touch Me gauntlets to fill your exotic lust.
For the Warlock, it's The Skull Of Dire Ahamkara helmet. This is the first time Xur has ever offered this item for sale. It's also the last exotic armor we can say that about. If you had the coins, you could have the complete set.
The engram this week...chest! If you missed out 2 weeks ago, it's back!
Heavy ammo synth is back! Stock up on that shit!
The weapon this week is The Ice Breaker. If you don't have one by now...then I probably don't play with you.
I'll also add a note here about telemetries. They really do make a difference in ranking up your weapons when you use one while turning in bounties. This week, it's Auto Rifles, Shotguns and Rocket Launchers.
Upgrades:
For the Hunter, it's the Achloyphage Symbiote and Mask Of The Third Man helmets. These are the same as were up last week. Both were good then. This week, the symbiote is a crappy roll, and the third man is still really good, but still less than last week. If you missed out then, do it now.
For the Titan, it's the Helm Of Inmost Light and Insurmountable Skullfort Helmets. Neither are particularly good rolls.
For the Warlock, it's the Light Beyond Nemesis Helmet and Sunbreakers. The Nemesis helmet is a good roll, but will be sold by Xur next week (so stay tuned). The Sunbreakers are a bad roll.
Weapons:
SUROS Regime
Bad Juju
MIDA Multi-Tool
Plan C
Thunderlord
Gjallarhorn (On behalf of Musick, FUCK YOU XUR!)
And now, a new feature for the Xur report, a look ahead to next week!
Next Week, the scheduled offerings for Xur are:
No Backup Plans for the Titan
Crest Of Alpha Lupi for Hunter
Light Beyond Nemesis for Warlock
Gauntlet Engram
No Heavy Ammo
Universal Remote (Yeah, already)
We'll see if Bungie makes alterations...
One final note on what K&AJones posted:
Early in this game, probably week 2, Xur offered the ability to trade in planetary materials (Spinmetal, etc.) in exchange for strange coins. It was so popular in fact, that Bungie removed it from Xur a few hours later.
So we've known since then that Bungie has full control over Xur's inventory, and they could do it on the fly.

Re: Bungie - Destiny
Usually when Xur hits town there are about a dozen posts talking about a loser , winner or so-so offering this weekend. Scott put out the list early this morning and nothing....
Bungie several weeks ago plainly stated Xur was random...yet not only once but twice back-to-back weekends someone has predicted Xur's offerings. Which is becoming like riding a Merry-Go-Round. At this point he can offer a G-Horn and that might squish the discontent for awhile but for how long? And what happens a few weeks later when it's offered again? Sort of like the Ice Breaker....it came and everyone jumped on it. screqming it's about time. Now it's offered again and what, everyone is upset with the same-o-same-o stuff...

Re: Bungie - Destiny
we aren't talking about it because we know/knew what the offerings were going to be .... we have been talking about it in game when we are playing and chatting so anything posted here would be redundant
Xur is random but is clearly weighted for certain items and the info can be data mined weeks in advance for what he is offering ... we already know what he will have next week ... if Bungie were to change it, it only would give creedence to the thoughts that they can further manipulate the offerings
personally Xur is no longer a exciting event for most of us because we already have almost all he brings to offer ..... I'm sure for those new/getting started with the game he still holds great value

Xur may very well be a random roll. But that random roll isn't done when he arrives, it's done weeks in advance. But since he can be altered, that takes away from the randomness.
But yeah, I do the Xur report more out of fun than as a true piece of breaking news. Other than heavy ammo and telemetry, I won't buy anything this week or next. I need a 4th Horseman, Black Hammer, and 2nd and 3rd Gjallarhorns. I have everything else. Everything Xur can offer, I've got it. So it comes down to rolls on gear I have being significantly better than what I have.

Bungie will be appearing at The Laugh Factory for the rest of the week.
Source: http://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGa..._beyond_troll/
Source: http://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGa..._beyond_troll/
I tried to data-mine today and bungie has implemented a lot of changes. Instead of Xur having one single constant IP on one port, he now has multiple. If you join a tower instance and you're the only one there, Xur will have 16 different IP address. If you join and its 8 other people, Xur will have 9 different ones. Only one of the possible IP's you connect to will share the packet information you need. The others will include self-input data like controller movement, date & time, and other player constants.
To combat this I used zone alarm on each IP separately until I isolated the one that sends the packets for weapons. This took considerably longer than I thought because each unique IP only sends packets for a 45 second window and then they stop for 100ms, and then restart. This made it hard to decipher the hex code and decide if there were any patterns.
Finally, once I managed to isolate the IP, find the pattern, and looped it. Every 22 packets started with the same 8b Hex. Bungie had literally broadcasted every thing as a No Land Beyond. This is what I found(obviously a troll), but yeah:
No Land Beyond 999 Attack Kinectic Damage
No Land Beyond 488 Defense Warlock Chest Piece
No Land Beyond 366 Defense Hunter Gauntlets
No Land Beyond 447 Defense Titan Helmet
TLDR
Bungie has employed 8 servers from their network, and 8 from Activision. They've employed a fail safe on 15/16. They constantly shuffle ports and IP's that lead to nothing. The one IP that does lead to anything has the name No Land Beyond for every weapon, armor, and upgrade.
